Definitely Tsukasa for me. Mainly because of the way he feels about things and the way he thinks. Tsukasa to me is an incarnate of how I feel a lot of the time about many things and people.

My fave is Bear, I relate with him quite a bit for some reason (and my friends keep telling me I'm too much like Bear, specially when playing Online RPGs).
In second place we have a tie between Subaru, the quiet girl who has some unknown reason to do everything she does, and Mimiru, the playful, yet friendly and helpful, "sidekick" who kicks your behind if you step on her toes.
Then in third comes Tsukasa, I like how he slowly evolves throughout the series.

mine would be Tsukasa. He's the only character I can really relate to in any movie/book/game besides sora from kingdom hearts.

Mimiru and Krim without a doubt, Mimiru cause she's so out going, and Krim just because he kicks butt... hehe...

MAHA! And yes, I love cats. ^-^ Adore them. And Maha is just awesome. Do they have a gender for that cat, yet? I could never find out. And I'm sad to say I can't keep up with .Hack//Sign.

Mimiru, cuz she's just plain cool. Tsukasa, cuz he's awesomely awesome~! And Crim, cuz he's cool AND awesomely awesome!

Well, it´s very likely that Maha is female, cuz Mia (the 2. Version) and Macha (the 6th Phase) are also females and they´re all the same...

My favorite Dot Hack Sign character was Aura but even though she was sleeping everytime Tsukasa touched her he seemed to see things kinda like memorys.

I'd have to say Crim is my favorite. I love his old school gaming ways and sort of knightly personality. Plus he's a real nice guy really and helpful too. Though the lectures are always sorta eh. But Crim's lectures are a trademark too.
Tied for second is Sora, who used to be my fav, and Bear. Bear's got the voice of reason and he's the helpful father figure. And...well how can you not like Sora? Always brings a smile to my face.

*pokes username* Tsukasa is my fav...mostly because I feel sorry for him...*hugs Tsukasa* ...wait... Tsukasa's a girl...and I'm a girl...I'm hugging a girl!!! *runs away* ...I know it's not THAT wrong...but still... but Tsukasa will still be my fav ^-^
