"The better question is, why are we just drinking them?" Was Jiles reply to Chopper. Even after saying that though, he went ahead and drank the Dr. Pepper. "Y'know, I only ever found it the one time, and that was back in Nevada, but I once had a coke called Terrestrial Dragonfruit, it was delicious. And I'm pretty sure it gave me a cavity."

Jiles shrugged at Josh's question, "Too late for second thoughts now. Just be extra careful, if you don't have any why don't you see if Chopper or Cato will give you something to use. Which reminds me, we're going after a Crystallux, right?" Jiles seemed to petrify into jade and his gear took on more mundane appearances as well, making him go from looking something like a battle ready longbowman to more of a lecture ready professor, apparently Octumas pheromone camouflage was an old hat for the Juvenile.

He put what looked like a blue tooth ear piece in and nodded to Akima, "Good thought. If we have to move through crowds we might get separated, and they should at least work for short distances."

Cato took another swig of his soda as he thought. What did he know about Crystallux that would help the team find her? Seeing as they are made of rocks... Maybe she would leave behind some sort of trail? Does a Crystallux... Shed rocks? And if so how often? If he was on the right track then maybe they could use this to find the girl.

Akima nodded at Jiles' conclusion. "Yeah, that is true. If any of you have headsets like mine and Jiles', put them on and set them to 401MHz," she said as she set them to the frequency.

Don grinned and held up his watch. It was beeping and there was a purple dot moving on it the map through a deep part of the subway. "Gentleman, I do think we have our heading. If you will follow me we'll set out! After all...it's cold down here." Don said as he stepped on one of the soda as he walked up the one of the walls and took out Son and Boy aiming them at the wall. "Heheehe! Time to make some noise! You go boom now!" Don said as he let out a laugh and fired the two hardballer's at the wall. The room shook and the wall in front of the group started to crumble. Hot green and blue flames engulfed the wall Don had aimed the guns at. A large crash was heard and after ten minutes the room came to a standstill. But strangely enough only the wall Don had shot at had crumbled. The rubble was around the hole and was slowly burning to a crisp. " OHHHH YEAH!!!!" Don said with a deep bellied laugh as he spun the guns around and sheathed them in his coat as he stepped through the now gaping hole in the wall.

Cato couldn't help but blink and stare at the chaos unfolding in front of him. This man was clearly not in full control of his mental faculties. He decided to follow him regardless but that begged the question.

"Wouldn't the stairs have been easier, Don?"

"Yes my dear boy! However, life needs a big boom to keep things fun! Besides...our target is in this direction. It's like finding a fox in a forest. Except I have things that make the walls fall down. hehe gotta love Jester rounds. Jasper left forty of them...and only four brought down the wall." Don said as he opened a soda and kept on walking. "MMM gotta love coca-cola. They make it good up here in New York." Don took a big swig of the coke and kept on going.

Cato took another drink of his soda.

"I can't argue with that. The soda in New York is great."

Cato thought to himself "Yes... He's clearly insane... I suppose he has a point but does that justify random destruction? I guess I'll never understand him."

Lloyd and Soran came through in time to see the don blow a hole in the wall "That guy just blew a hole in the wall..." said Lloyd, Soran didn't seem impressed though, "could've been a better alternative than taking an existing route, you could expect less surprises" said Soran as the two approached the group from the portal, Soran then asked "anybody where to start looking?".

Jiles put a cold hand on Cato's shoulder and was perusing the funny pages of the newspaper. "Some people like to blow stuff up, some people like to read the funnies, and some people like to play Munchkin." He patted him on the shoulder and continued on after Chopper laughing. While he had told Josh not to worry about the feeling he himself could sense it as well and was pondering both it and the Escarius Flux symbol he had fallen face first into. The name had come readily enough, but he couldn't quite place the origin, which as a linguist bugged the hell out of him, plus he had a feeling they were the ones playing Munchkin, so he was skimming the paper to see if anything in there might jog his memory or help him glean the victory conditions. Plus the crossword was fun. "Hm, Escarius Flux." Jiles murmured as he tapped a pencil against his chin and pondered the puzzle.

Joshua: ( he walks though the hole I the wall) guessing the report is gonna say collateral damage?...I don't really get how do you expect to find her by blowing a hole in the wall?! ( he walks with the group keeping Pace with Jiles) what's up something actually has you stumped? ( he keeps walking) umm don how do you know were too g the right way jeez it's dark ( he looks at the goggles the dragon gave him before) Night vision okay but what do these symbols mean.. If Jiles wasent so pre occupied I'd ask him... ( he looks back at Soran) I'm not really sure but this guy see to know where he's gOing or he's out of his mind...

Cato whispered to Joshua "I'm certain it's the latter."

Cato then turned to Jiles, who literally had his face in some strange symbol with what again appeared to be foreign writing.

"Do you recognize this from somewhere?" He asked as he looked over the symbol. He tried to remember if he had seen that symbol in any of the books he had read.

Akima took in the hole in the wall that Don had made before stepping through. "I suppose the direct path would be the best, but the sound of an explosion is more likely to scare a person off than to make them want to either come hither or stand still."

"It could also scare them out of hiding." Jiles flipped to the next page of the paper, having solved the crossword already, but he wasn't about to spoil anybody else's fun by just writing all over it. "The pink pyramid thing from before, I think it's called or related to a group called Escarius Flux." He shrugged. "But I'm not certain, they do have a good sense of humor though. Throwing a wrench into our plans by cracking Locos' gate to send us off course, like that wrench and cracked pyramid. Hah." Continuing to address things in reverse order he finally got to Josh's query. He turned to his fellow Juvenile and his smile broadened, "I know, it's great isn't it? And it's not just one puzzle either; there's a few of them. There's what victory conditions was dad trying to satisfy five months ago, the Escarius Flux munchkins, that presence you noticed earlier, and- and... was there another one? And whether or not there was a fourth puzzle I was working on or not. If so then having it on the back burner will probably help. You got anymore for me? One often holds the key to another after all."

Escarius Flux... He was certain he had heard that name before... It was on the tip of his mind.

Cato gazed at the wrench and broken pyramid symbol intensely trying harder than ever to remember what he knew about it...

Joshua: Were looking for a little girl after all... And yeah maybe I figure if anyone can crack it you can but I think maybe it could wait when you have the time I was just curious about these goggles...and cato your probablly right but might well follow him we weren't getting anywhere otherwise and Escarus flux didn't dad say something about that once it was awhile ago before he just bailed without telling anyone anyway I'm sure I'm not the only one who still has that weird feeling...

Akima was still taking in there environment. They were in a subway maintenance room, brought here by a malfunction caused by some faction. Before Don had blown a hole through the wall, there had been only two ways out: an elevator and a staircase.

"Has it occurred to anyone that this might all be some kind of trap created by Escarius Flux?" Akima asked. "Look around. About the only way in or out that Flux hasn't counted on, if it is a trap, is any hole Don decides to create in the walls. I'm wondering if they're after the Crystallux girl too."

"If you're right, then we should hurry. Time is of the essence!" Cato replied to Akima.

"Don, you might be crazy but your craziness may have just made our mission a success! Perhaps there is even a method to your madness..." Cato thought.

"In that case I think we should head through the dark. Do you agree, ma'am?"

"Agreed," Akima said, "Everyone should stick close together and stay sharp; if this is a trap, let's at least make them work for it." She then moved closer to Don and pulled out a metal rod that had been strapped to the back of her belt. She pushed down on a central-point along the length of the rod and it immediately extended into her double-bladed bo staff.

"Don, you take point; I'll take the rear-guard. Everyone quickly proceed after Don and stay sharp."
