Mage Wars: The war between Metal and Earth(Join at Anytime!)

He hadn't anticipated the scale of Ryan's move and had focused on hardening a shell around Marcus and himself. His own had broken but the layer of blood he had under his clothes had saved him from taking too much damage just as it had saved him from the spear before. He stared up at Ryan from a hole in the now shattered blood shield that had protected him.

Ben bellowed up at Ryan, "The sky belongs to the birds, mortal men should but dream of it. For those who trespass upon their domain inevitably fall." While he spoke the blood gathered beneath Ryan's platform and then shot up into it. Crimson veins crisscrossed and it fell to pieces. Crimson lances shot up through it and pierced Ryan's limbs to prevent him from recovering. Well, not until the recovery would hurt at least. He kept a greater amount of blood on hand for defense than before, making sure he was standing on ground that was well soaked with it so that it could not be pulled out from beneath him or at the very least he could catch himself.

Oni snatched at the bokken while it was in the air; as a result, he dropped the bokken. “Sorry…” Oni had not really had much practice at catching, and then admitted to his lack of battle experience. “I don’t really know; I’ve never been in a fight.” “Aw… isn’t that cute? Our little Oni’s never been in a fight.” Kisara’s smirk disheartened Oni minimally. “What makes you so confidant Kisara?” “Skill little Oni, skill and tons of experience.”

Marcus looked up towards Ben and Ryan. He had attempted to move his arms, but could not; they were indeed broken. His legs had a small amount of movement in them, Marcus would have to count on Ben fully.

“Sir, the EMkII is currently operational. Should we fire it yet?” The young soldier inquired. ”No, not yet. We must find that Earth mage that caused the Earthquake. Once we eliminate him, or locate him, we can fire the Cannon. Soldier, status report!” “Sorry Sir, we can’t locate anything in this sandstorm. However, squad 3’s communication is down.”

The twins giggled. "Unfortunately, we kinda have to agree with Kisara, Oni. Although you can win without experience, you need it to get better," Lumina said as they all paused in the clearing. "But that could just be Fire mentality, seeing as losing could mean your death."

Namine nodded. "Yeah. It's part of the reason Lumina and I practiced together regularly. "Of course, we've mostly self-taught ourselves and copied from things we've seen, so we're probably not that good compared to a real style of fighting, but we get by with our skills," Namine continued before stopping as she noticed the clearing as if for the first time.

"Maybe we can show you or even include you sometime, Oni. Same for you, Kisara, though I doubt you need our help there," Lumina finished as Namine tapped her shoulder. "Yes, sis?" When Namine pointed to the clearing, it was Lumina's turn for surprise. There were burned lines and strange, twisting char lines running across the ground. A number of trees facing the clearing had deep, charred gouges in them and there were quite a few bodies at the edges of the clearing. "Wait, is this...?"

Namine nodded as she walked to where a metal pole was stuck in the ground next to a small, glassy dent in the ground where it looked like Lightning had gone to ground. "Yeah. This is where they caught up to us earlier. It's probably safe to say we're back in Fire now," Namine replied as she pulled the pole out of the ground to take with her. It was flattened and sword-like, but obviously dull and edge-less. "That means our house is nearby too. Your gloves might still be there if this is still here, Sister."

That made Lumina smile. "I hope so. My knuckles still hurt from fighting without them," she replied as she looked at her hands. Some of the knuckles were bruising.

Zanza was thankful he had thought to wear a seatbelt when he ran into a bank of sandbags. He raised his hands into the air when he realized there were guns pointed at him. "Whoah whoah whoah! Don't shoot! I'm a noncombatant." "Identify yourself." The man carrying the heavy machine gun ordered. "Zanza, Zanza Dorian. I'm an enforcer here looking for a forbidden mage child who escaped into earth country." "A likely story, search him." Zanza didn't bother fighting, there were a lot of soldiers and they were all well armed. He was brought to a metal building, probably constructed by the alchemists. They took away the metal soldier outfit he "borrowed" and chained him up none too gently. He could easily break out of them if need be, but he didn't want to give them an excuse to shoot him. An older man with a scar on top of his shaved scalp walked in and slammed his head into the table as an opener. "Y'know, I've found that threats tend to work better than slamming a person's head into the table from the get go." He raised his head, the table had given way to his skull and he raised an eyebrow at the man. "Satisfied that I'm Metal?" "No." This is going to be a long interview.

Khas had to shout for the man on the other end to hear him over the gunfire. The last of the orders given he let his head fall to the table. It was going to be a long day. A call came in. "Yes?" "Sir, we've just received word. The EMkII has been removed from it's storage facility." Khas remained silent for a moment. "Sir? Did you read me?" "Yes, yes I understand. Thank you, transfer me to air command." "Yes sir." A few minutes later, "General Shinto?" "Yes, I ordered a squad of air troopers a short time ago." "Yes sir, they are in route." "Excellent." He responded wearily. "Was there something else?" "No, that's all. As you were." He made his way to the make shift medical room to check on the corporal. The man was sitting up and gave a weak salute. "At ease corpsman. You alright?" "Yes sir." "How long do you think until you're combat ready?" "An hour, tops." "Good, the sergeant will be needing your help before long." "Sir?" "A WMD may be in play. I'm going to try to neutralize it. I'll be linking up with a platoon and be going on an offensive. I've already sent orders to the necessary troops." "Do you know where it is?" "I know where I'd put it. I'll start there. The jumper squad should be here in under half an hour." Khas grabbed a jeep, loaded with explosives, and sped off after a heated discussion with the sergeant.

Oni looked at the clearing in awe; Kisara, however, was on edge. “Something doesn’t feel right.” A man’s voice called from the forest just outside the clearing, perhaps he was in a tree. “Whooie! I knew it! I knew if I stuck around here I’d find something big!” The man let himself be seen as he appeared from behind a tree. His bangs were parted so that they covered the right side of his face. “Little did I know I’d see your face again Kisara. But you aren’t as important as the Lightning user. Which one of these dames is it?” he pointed at Namine, “Is it you?” he then pointed to Lumina, ”or maybe it’s you…” Oni stepped forward, “And who’s to say it isn’t me?” “Shut up Oni, this guy is looking for a fight.” The man began laughing, “This guy? THIS GUY?”

He was seething angry. “How dare you forget my name you pompous witch! ” Kisara shook her head, “Not in the slightest.” The man pushed his bangs to the side; his face was burnt nearly to the muscle on his face. “Look at what you did to my face! You know what? I’ll kill you first!” He slammed his foot into the ground and a boulder rose in front of him, he slammed his fist into the boulder, sending it her way. They group dodged the boulder and Oni, being closest, drew his bokken and slashed at the man. A bubble formed around him before Oni could make contact, and the recoil sent Oni flying. “There’s someone hiding!” Kisara shouted to the twins.

A great fissure shook the capital again, and in response, Raymond fired a shot in the air. A helicopter flew to the signal, and seven crates fell to the floor. “My team has arrived…” Khas could see the helicopter and the drop, but not the landing sight.

The wood mage turned his back and looked to Yosuke and Eldan, “Fresh meat…” he licked his upper lip and a poisonous cloud surrounded him. “I’m so thirsty boys…. So very thirsty…” Though the two youths could not see it, his mouth was dripping with blood.

So very thirsty…” "..... this' guy's starting to scare me.... let's finish this!" he binded the guy in wood, then cleared the entire area from the smoke, then walked to him "...." he looked at him, and noticed the blood in his mouth "You're the one from Dios.... You do the dirty work..... Or should i do it?...."....

Ryan could almost don't stood up, but he had a plan... a plan that couldn't fail "So... Ngh" he spoke hardly, then walked up to Ben "You control the blood..... but.... can you control it when it's totally cleaned?..." he asked, smiling with a cynical expression "Do you?" he grabbed ben by the shirt, and covered ben's shirt with earth, and then Ryan covered his own arms with earth, and lifted Ben "Let's talk..." he throwed Ben to the water, cleaning him, then brough an sphere of earth, with water from the sea inside, and cleaned with it him and the floor and other things "How come that no one is'n here?!" He walked to Ben "What's your name Bloody Rat?" he covered all his body with earth, exept for his face, and made a spiked armor "Dare to touch me" one hand became a Claw (Like Kevin from Ben 10 AF) and the other one (The left one) was still normal "*Cough* *Cough* You may have weakenned me.... But i have the advantage here.... i can even dissappear in front of your...... heyy..." he made a sphere around him, and opened the earth below him, and fell inside and closed the floor, then the sphere returned to the ground, making Ben to thinks as if Ryan had just dissappeared "....." he closed his hand, and suddendly spikes came from below Ben

"Dammit! Why is it that everyone and their mother is after us all the time!?" Lumina yelled as the Twins dodged the boulder, rolling up on a knee away from the other two. "And this time, it's an Earth Mage to boot, too," she finished as they watched Oni attack and get blocked by a water bubble. "Water?!"

"He's not alone!" Namine replied as they rose and stood back-to-back, Namine ready with her pole and Lumina with her fists up and ready.

“There’s someone hiding!”

"We got it! Just keep Earth-man busy for us!" Namine yelled back as she Twin girls scanned the forest around them. The places they could be were numerous. They could be hiding in or behind a tree. They could impersonating one of the numerous corpses surrounding the clearing. It was a minute or two before Namine finally noticed a movement she couldn't attribute to an animal or wind. But she didn't react immediately. She continued to look as she took another stance. One that pointed her sword-like pole at the spot.

Lumina did nothing at first either when she found the spot with Namine's help. She nudged her sister, whom waved her weapon a little in response. Ready then. Three... The Fire twin's looked at a different spot to see Oni and Kisara attacking the Earth Mage. Perfect. Two... One! All at once, Lumina stepped forward, her sister coming to her right side, as Lumina sent a blast of flames at the figure that scorched the ground as it passed to force the Water Mage to choose between defending themself or the Earth Mage.

((So, Ryan just went underground?))
The spikes started to come up out of the ground and were restrained by a web of blood. Took him long enough to try that tactic. I've been standing on ground soaked with blood forever. "A worm will always hide in it's hole when it knows the raven is coming for it." Ben shouted. "You ought to take this opportunity to crawl away. The next time you reveal yourself, I will kill you." Much as he hated it he didn't know where this earth mage was hiding since he couldn't see underground, but as long as he stood upon the ground he was almost a sitting duck. So Ben hopped onto a blood platform and carried himself off the ground and over the sea. He drew most of the blood out of the ground and the sea to create a vast number of blood beads, most of which were waiting just above ground level, ready to skewer Ryan through every internal organ repeatedly should he be so foolish as to come up for air and not escape. And if the earth boy somehow managed to get past his minefield of blood beads he would simply use the blood armor to finish the job when he got close. Some of that blood was from the man that had taken a bullet for Ryan earlier, how ironic that his attempts to save the man would end up getting him killed.

Seriously? He thought what little he could do with water as an earth mage would stop my blood? I may be a blood mage, but the basics of it still lie in water. And water looks out for it's own. Ben had simply hardened the blood in anticipation of an attack when Ryan had tried to wash it off, not that even had the boy had a towel and soap rather than a splash of seawater and dirt would it have made any difference. After all, a blood soaked towel is simply blood on a towel; the only meaningful difference is that he can move the towel around with the blood easier.

"Step back kid. You'll die if you fight him. This guy's mine." Eldan didn't even take up a defensive stance, He knew how to use his power. His mind was on guard. He didn't care about his body. He just needed the girls safety....but why? "Go back inside and keep her safe, don't open up unless i say it;s ok."

"O-Ok then.. If ya' need any help, just call" he entered running to the house, then sitted at Takayuki's side "Don't worry....." he just stared at her blankly

"So you prepared traps for me?!" echoes could be heared from everywhere, hiding Ryan's position "But you won't cheat me that easily.... I came prepared too" he then made the same spikes from behind, then launched a critical number of spikes to the sky, then spikes came suddendly from behind Ben and from ahead "You can control blood.... But i can control EVERY SINGLE THING in this land......" He made an sphere just behind Ben as if he were going out, and sudendly dispersed the sphere, making the spikes to trust Ben everywhere, then Ryan walked like 6-8 metters away from Ben ((From underground of course))

The man’s very breath corroded the roots ensnaring him. “Boy, you know nothing of my powers… you cannot bind me with anything living, for I shall kill it. However, you…” The man pointed at Eldan, “What inclines you to believe that death shall not see to you? As long as you use this Earth that is living, you cannot hope to even halt my progress.” The man then began to emit a different gas; it was not poisonous, as the trees and wildlife, surrounding him remained intact.

“Hot shi-” A flames shot back against Lumina’s flames. “That was a close one, eh?” A bubble effortlessly blocked Kisara’s blazing fist, and Oni’s heavy swing. “Oooh, and it was so close too…” This man was approximately the same age as their initial attacker, however he was a bit shorter, and wore his long hair in a ponytail. “You think they’d only send 2 people to handle a Lightning mage? Geez, Yo! Fin, can you believe these-” Another flare shot out of him, but he was protected by a bubble. “Damn girl! Let me finish gloating…”

Oni took a rock to the chest, and took a moment to recover. In the meantime the man, known as Fin, with the scar on his face relentlessly threw chunks of Earth at Kisara. “What’s the matter honey? Afraid to really fight?” She mocked him as she lit her entire body ablaze. It would hurt later, but it was visually pleasing. She threw a kick at him and he shouted to the heavens, “Don’t block me, worry about Michael, the one with the pole is the Lightning Mage.” Oni bound the Fin’s ankle, which temporarily distracted him long enough for Kisara’s kick to come through. He force of the kick tore Fin from the bindings, and He foot slammed his head against the Earth, “Not so tough now, huh, big guy?” She pounded his head repeatedly.

Takayuki looked concerned, “What about the other Mister? Where did he go? Is he alright?”

The crates contained a person each. ”Looks like a wonderful day for the damned apocalypse.” four of the seven remained quiet the other three chuckled, and Raymond remained silent. “I am out of magical power… you seven will have to take dow-” “They brought the Erase Cannon thing… we saw it in the copter. ” Another of this “elite” squad reported.

((Sorry if it seems like a lot, but it is, and besides, it was getting quiet dull before the mayhem =D))

"He's..... he's in trouble..... but he didn't listened.... and he's going to fight the poisoning guy.... Don't worry...... I trust in him.... So... promise me... that you won't leave me...." he closed the window, and opened a door behind his house "Just to be sure..." he grabbed Takayuki's hand "Let's go... don't worry, we'll meet up later with him... i need something" they both ran out of the house

"I never said death wouldn't come to me," He held his hand up and suddenly something pegged his enemy in the middle of his forehead, Eldan had thrown a pebble at him, "But that doesn't mean i won't try"

((Hope you don't mind my controlling the Fire and Water enemies during my post, since they're focused on the Twins. If so, I'll stop.))

Lumina and Namine stood ready at each other's side, fists up and pole low at her side, but ready. "Gloat later, If you're still alive to do so," Namine replied darkly to the Flame user, her expression darkening as Fin correctly figured out and yelled out that she was the Lightning Mage. So much for the element of surprise. "Defensive Water, Offensive Fire. The Water will focus on defending him," Namine said quietly to her sister.

"I got that, but do you think I can pierce it? I'm speed, not power," Lumina replied back just as quiet.

"You've got both, to do what you do. Fiery deception, on my mark..." Namine finished as the Braided Fire Mage smiled and egged them on. "Mark!" Namine twisted back as Lumina punched forward with both hand blasting a wide wave of searing flames at him.

"Didn't we go over this? It won't work!" the Man yelled as he countered again with his own flames, frowning at the force it took to cancel it. A girl that small shouldn't burn like this... The flames cleared revealing a smiling Namine. "Wh-"

"Above!" came the Water Mage's warning, nearly too late. He jumped on instinct as Lumina's flaming stomp narrowly missed him. He didn't have time to question how she got up there as Lumina twisted to deliver a flaming heel and was stopped by a bubble, her foot repulsed back.

"Now what?!" He yelled, stepping in the counter immediately as she spun back. She didn't try to recover as her other foot left the ground and in a blast of flame, Lumina shot sideways, narrowly dodging his fist and burning his hand slightly. Nothing that would hinder him. "The Hell...!?" By the time he'd turned to look at the Flame Twin, the bubble had come back to block her missile-like, flaming punch, the Girl flinching as she was repulsed again.

But that wasn't all it did... It had also repulsed Namine's pole strike as she danced back and stood ready. Opposite him, a wash of flame from Lumina's hips and feet stabilized her recovery as she landed and again was on the move like a rocket. Suddenly, the twisting, burned trails across the ground made sense. Unfortunately, this realization didn't make it any less difficult to track her highly unusual, but effective movement style. So, it was definitely fortunate for him that the Bubble was a 360 degree defense as she shot around him, unleashing flames and flaming attacks on him in between and sometimes simultaneously with Namine's blocked attempts with her flattened pole, the Water Mage unwilling to give her a chance to slip a Lightning attack by their defenses and take the Fire Mage out without a fight. "Still think you'll take us down?" Lumina said as she swept in and landed next to her sister. "So, Any luck, Namine?"

"Maybe... It's hard to plan against something you're still learning about. Let's do Formation two,"
Namine replied as they stood ready again, the Lightning Twin watching carefully and missing little. She wanted to be absolutely sure of everything before she attempted any sort of decisive strike.

((Before I make my next post. How did Ryan have any idea as to where Ben was? Ryan's underground. At best Ryan would know that he isn't standing on the ground anymore. But I can't think of a way in which he would know where Ben was nor even what he was doing with the blood above ground.))

((NPCs of mine are free to control, anyone who speaks in bold text is an NPC, and so you were in the right.
In addition, Kale too is in the right: if Ben, a man levitating on a blood platform, can be seen by Ryan, a man several feet/meters below the ground, then “godmod”-like activities are afoot. ))

The wood mage plucked the pebble from his forehead and dropped it next to him. “You’ve got good aim for such a young boy… But mine is better.” The man emitted a thick poisonous gas from his mouth that shielded him, while the gas he had emitted earlier made its way to Eldan. “That’s a hallucinogen, one sniff of that and I’ve got you beat…”

Takayuki was excited, “Are we going somewhere fun?” She smiled and held onto Yosuke’s hand tightly.

“Who ever said that I was here to take you down? I’m dealing with a Lightning mage, I’m on the downside, the only thing I have working for me is… Holy crap!” Michael had not noticed Fin’s crushing defeat until he had the opportunity to relax. “Dammit… only three was too little….” Michael bit his thumb, on the flipside, Kisara had effectively beaten Fin within an inch of his life. The explosive power of her fists attacked Fin relentlessly, and Fin was not even capable of fighting back. Oni looked away unable to watch the one-sided fight. “Addy! Get me the hell out of here! They’ll kill us…” Kisara shook her head, “You aren’t allowed to leave.” She stood over Fin’s defeated body and pulled Oni up. “Help me look for the water mage, Lumina and Namine, give him a good punch in the mouth for me.” ”Shut up brat!” He turned on the girls as a bubble surrounded him. The bubble followed him as he ran away. The trees opposite of the direction Michael was heading had obvious signs of movement.

I won't last long against him, My best bet is to use himself against himself. He moved his hand in an upward motion, The earth bent to his will, but he didn't use living earth, but stone. If it was live it would be no good. He entombed his enemy in a dome and waited, he knew the makeshift prison wouldn't last forever. But the mans breath would be used against him.

"Right!" Namine replied.

"Will do!" Lumina called back as well as the two of them left Oni and Kisara to get the Water Mage while they took off after Michael. The man flinched within the bubble as Lumina roared past with ease and landed in front of him as Namine ran up and stopped behind him, pole ready. "You can't escape me with those weak legs!" Lumina declared as she took a stance.

Michael seemed ready to attack when he suddenly smiled, dashing in a different direction. Lumina jumped to intercept him and he laughed. "How many time does it take you to realize you can't get passed this bubble barrier, Girl?" he taunted as he ran at her, intent to ram her with it.

"Maybe I can't..." Lumina said from behind and above him. It was then that he realized that the 'Lumina' in from of him had long hair, not short hair. And when she reached back to yank the metal pole out of where she'd tied it into her hair, he knew he was staring down the Lightning Twin, not the faster Fire Twin.

"But I can!" Namine stated as she raised her pole and held it horizontally before her just moments before Michael touched it. The bubble met her pole in a surge of magic as the Lightning running through it shattered his defense. But Namine wasn't finished as she used the minor repulsion to bring the weapon back to her ready stance, her weapon wreathed in lightning. "This will be painful!" She replied to him as she stepped passed him, smashing him quickdraw style across the ribs with the electrified, dull edge of the flattened pole, the force of her lightning tearing open a rough cut through his side as if she'd really used a sword. Intense pain made Namine's arm go numb as she dropped to her knees in agony.

Michael, on the other hand, coughed blood as he tried to turn and counter, but only succeeded in twisting to fall on his back. That's when he noticed the real Lumina streak at him from above. "... oh, **** me..."

"Special delivery!" Lumina yelled as came in like a missile to 'deliver' her package, a flaming fist that she applied directly to his mouth, just like Kisara had asked. That was it. The flames burned his mouth and lips as he smashed into the ground, his eyes rolling back as he stopped moving, unconscious or dead. Lumina didn't bother to check as she ran over to her pale-faced sister with concern. "Sister!? Are you alright?"

Namine didn't reply at first, but instead nodded as she breathed deep to fight off the pain that currently paralyzed her sword arm. "I-I'll be fine... Help me up, please, sister. We need to help against the water mage if possible," she finally replied. Lumina didn't like it, but didn't argue it as she picked up her sister's pole and helped Namine before the two hurried toward Addy, Kisara, and Oni.

The wood mage sat in the dome Eldan had created for him. “Is this your angle? To suffocate me? I’ll tell you one thing boy,” gases seeped through tiny holes in the stone dome. “It is impossible to mash rocks together and make them hold. So as long as I am in here and you are out there, you are susceptible to my poison, and I’m in a wall of protection. ”

Kisara and Oni had pursued the mysterious movement of the trees. To Kisara’s great surprise, Oni was faster than her, even with his bokken in hand. The man had fallen out of a tree, and landed square on his back, just a few meters ahead of the pair, he had summoned a bubble from the floor, and slowly stood up. Addy was a man of old age, at least forty years of age, if not older. “Kisara… do we really have to kill him?” The man twitched in pain as a sort of recoil of Namine’s magic piercing the shield he had around Michael. The pain caused him to drop his own shield and cough excessively, as though heavily fatigued. “Don’t pull that old man crap on me…” Kisara grabbed the man by his collar and lifted him off the ground. “Kisara, he’s an old man, and there’s nothing he can do to hurt us, just let him go!” Kisara glared at Oni, “Do you think these bastards would have spared out lives? No, this man dies, along with the other two.” Kisara’s fist sparked and then burned brightly, she cocked her fist back, but Oni tackled her to the ground before she dealt a finishing blow. “Kisara, don’t do this… let him go back-” “And do what? Bring his friends? I don’t think so! Get off of me right now kid!”

"Stop your talking." He closed his hand and suddenly th collapsed into itself, then brought itself into the earth, It took all his might, but he pushed the mans body as far away as humanly possble till he fell to the ground, "Heh...this...all you got?"
