Let's just say that during the elections, Palin was to McCain as Biden was to Obama. Last I heard she went off on her own and released a book ("Going Rogue") but I'm really behind the times.

That and apparently Palin has a look-alike cousin who does porn, or so I hear. Point being, If you googed Palin, you'd want to specify "Sarah Palin" lest you find "Nailin' Palin" like my friend did. And I think he said Letterman was involved somehow. I hope he means as a director since I think he'd get a heart attack from acting in it.

And quite frankly, everyone underestimates border security. Last time I went south of the border, I had all my papers in order, all certified, and they still kept me there for over a half hour just checking all my credentials and background, looking for basically any flaw they could find. Believe me when I say that anyone who wants to get into the U.S.A. illegally has a better chance of jumping off a ship off the coast and swimming to shore than going through Canada. Oh, right, I'm Canadian, EVERY American always has to think we're the cause of all their problems. Yes, that last line was sarcasm, but it's seriously true how many people blame Canada for terrorists and crap, especially with no proof. Oh, and did I mention the Americans I met who refused to acknowledge Canada as a democracy because our leader isn't called a "President?" I wish I was joking. Yeah sorry I went off on a tangent there and /endrant and all that.

I don't think "Tina Fey" does pornography. :P

Have their been any recent updates to this law, since Arizona's completely overflowing with controversy. D:

I'd say "The Antichrist" but that'd be an insult to Satan and the Legions of Hell, who altogether have a much higher sense of decency and morals.

Sarah Palin would not be a person I would want to run the country. Arizona isn't getting any support from it border states for obvious reasons. This won't make the border anymore secure. It would just bring in racism.

BTW happy Bday Mirus.

Really? Because i've never heard any one blame the canadians for anything or treat anyone that way. So to me what you are saying is some crap, but then again I guess it does kinda depend on what state and area your at I guess.

Sarah Palin is a walking example of a persecution complex, the Dunning-Kruger effect, and a self-serving bias.

No offense but canadians have nothing to cry about, Mexicans are often attacked all over the media (SO it does NOT matter what state you're in)

The media is full of crap, and the people at top can slander anything. Maybe if the USA would help build Mexico up there wouldn't be many problems. Becoming one country would be hard to control, but would solve the border problem.

That wont happen because there to busy reforming iraq (which is pointless in my point of view). The war there has been going on for far to long now.

Except that then we would be dealing with the inherited poverty and crime and corruption of Mexico, a lot of white people shitting their pants and crying about their independence being violated, and then we'd have to deal with a border with Central American countries, which aren't that far from the South American countries that's close proximity would complicate things even more. Not to mention the peninsula where Cancun is located would add another shore to watch as refugees attempt to float over from Cuba. It's probably easier to just deal with Mexico and Canada. I'd rather we just annex Canada and expel all of the French Canadians who are self-important douchebags.

FYI, The poverty is due to the corrupt government and the crime is also due the the corrupt government.
How would the white people's independence be violated? Central American countries are not bad at all!
Why do you prefer Canada over Mexico? Because the population is not as large as Mexico's or because there are more white people there?
You, and everyone in my US History class hate the French without a rational reason, I bet you eat "freedom fries".

<3 to the countries

P.s. I would hate for Mexico to lose it's culture due to the sure and forceful assimilation that would occur if the USA unites and I HIGHLY doubt Canadians would like to be a part of the USA, they value their free health care too much ( The USA government does not offer such a thing)

Mirus wrote:FYI, The poverty is due to the corrupt government and the crime is also due the the corrupt government.
Not necessarily. The poverty is induced by the fact that the United States is a capitalistic country. Not purely capitalistic, but capitalistic nonetheless. When a country's economy is run through capitalism, it provides citizens of the country more freedom to own privately owned businesses and such. However, there's a downside. Unlike in a socialistic enviorment, where everyone is virtually in equilibrium with each other, capitalisim promotes more economic inequality, which leads to others making more than others, since the goverment does not set a limit on how much money you can make in this country. Crime occurs because it's natural. There is no such thing as a utopia. Some people have their own intentions as to why they would commit crimes and it ranges from a wide variety, such as the poor man who robs from a grocery store just to feed his family, or a sexual predator trying to prey on females/males just to achieve a sexual high in pleasure. Crime happens because there are people in this world that would like to obtain their goals and desires, but the law doesn't always agree with those said goals and desires.
Mirus wrote:How would the white people's independence be violated? Central American countries are not bad at all!
Opinion. I agree wholeheartly that they aren't, but it's not a fact.
Mirus wrote:Why do you prefer Canada over Mexico? Because the population is not as large as Mexico's or because there are more white people there?

Again. Opinionated. He can hate the French all he wants, but it doesn't necessarily need to be taken as fact.

Well, there is no visual record of "mass" forceful assimilation in this modern day of age as of now with the U.S. being by itself, and I highly doubt we're going to see any of it increase if they were to unite into one super country. As far as I'm concerned, you can freely live in this country, and not really lose your culture, because, simply put, there is no "pure" American culture. It's a massive variety of cultures mixed into one, with some being more dominate than others. Mexico should have no worries. Plus, as of a couple of weeks ago wit the passing of a certain bill, the USA does offer universal heathcare now.

Yes, and when Mexico becomes a part of America all of that will magically disappear into wherever bad thoughts and mean attitudes go.
How would the white people's independence be violated? Central American countries are not bad at all!
I'm not even sure if I should be surprised that you're not recognizing my sarcasm and blatant mockery of xenophobic white people.
Why do you prefer Canada over Mexico? Because the population is not as large as Mexico's or because there are more white people there?
Because Canada isn't having all of the problems that Mexico is having and it isn't connected to a continent (South America through Central America) that is known for its hugely powerful drug lords and anti-American sentiment due to some very not-so-nice things we did to them during the Cold War.
You, and everyone in my US History class hate the French without a rational reason, I bet you eat "freedom fries".
It's funny you should say that since what I actually said was...
SilentOp wrote:...and expel all of the French Canadians who are self-important douchebags.
...and since a significant portion of French Canadians are notorious for being douchebags, both to Americans and English Canadians (yes, a lot of English Canadians feel like they're living next to a whiny little sister who thinks she's too grown up to play with the rest of the continent), I proposed that we simply place them elsewhere (probably Iceland... what are they going to do about it?). Notice that in this hypothetical self-important douchebags are a subset of French Canadians but not a proper subset. Look it up.
Mirus wrote:and I HIGHLY doubt Canadians would like to be a part of the USA, they value their free health care too much ( The USA government does not offer such a thing)
And that, boys and girls, is why nobody is seriously saying we should annex an entire neighboring country. Because that would be stupid.

I love how Mirius calls someone out on sarcastically being an opinionated jerk by being, herself, an opinionated jerk.

"Ugh, bleh, you disagree with me, you must be one of those 'freedom fries' eating assholes."

Because I am a notorious right-wing, reactionary, xenophobic, homophobic, racist, conspiratorial, intolerant, anti-intellectual Jesus freak.

Which reminds me: AT, you're still going to hell for destroying the American family, attacking the founding moral values of America, and being a socialist.
