I don't think we're going to kill tri-edge in VOL 1..

Apart from that, it doesn't fit. TriEdge isn't a real PC.

Other AIDAs, probably.

Also, who's controlling the avatar doesn't make a huge difference in whether they could become PCs or not. Mia was part of the system, too.

Yeah, but Mia DOES conform to normal rules.

Now you're going back and forth between your arguments. My point is that both occasions have occurred at some point already, those being 1) the ability to recruit a nigh-well-invincible PC, and 2) a PC who is very much a digital entity.

Yes, but the recruition of a character who is beyond normal game rules hasn't happened.

How's getting sick, having your PC speak in giberish, and have an character model of a cat deem "normal rules"?

Doesn't change the way she plays. She still has stats like any other PC. Her graphics don't malfunction when she takes damage and she doesn't warp all over the place. She doesn't do things a PC can't possibly do. Gameplay-wise.

So where does she go when she gates out or "logs off"?

That's got little to do with gameplay.

I think what Dengar means is that even though we have played alongside AI, in the form of Mia, in the past, we have never played with an AI that is outside the system in terms of gameplay capabilities.

While Tri-Edge is impossibly strong, Mia is no more powerful than your average player, she is not invincible and the enemy does not require data-drain to defeat her.

I would say that if we get Tri-Edge at all, he will have had to have undergone some sort of downgrade in power, if not, there is no way we would get him. Unless, of course, he is the Helba of the new games and can only be unlocked at the end of Volume Three.

That or a useless eye candy like a level 50 Orca in your party list that is unuseable :P

I would have to go with this one, if you are to get Tri-Edge as a party memeber I would think it be at the end and he would still have needed to lose losts of power and probly the braclet as well

But I thought the agreement was that Haseo will defeat Tri-edge? Not so? If it was, that would mean that Haseo eventually becomes more powerful than Tri-edge, thus making Tri-edge a possible ally through the virtue of being less powerful. Does that make sense?

Evem IF Tri-edge turns out to be not-so-bad and even if Tri-edge is willing/capable of forming parties with Haseo, Haseo seems like the type who will carry a grudge to the end of the Earth. He would NEVER forgive Tri-edge for Data Draining Shino.

If that's true, I'm not sure I like Haseo's character.

I personaly think having Tri-Edge as an ally would be amazing, since he is my favorite character.

I think that "Somthing" about his past will make haseo feel pity or somthing like that, as in somthing happens after we defeat him, and he is no more powerful than a level 99. (<-- that made me laugh, lol)

dengar has a good point but...

the only way this would happen is if the adia goes BYE BYE and then kite comes back. this woud result in norma gamepaly no datadrain and a normal charecter who is jsut a twin blade (thats the only exception)

so then he cant hold a grudge aagainst kite since kite didnt do anything.

*wow this keeps on going 1 theroy after the next*

also then if the adia escapes tri-edge, then u have your boss to fight

:D
