Haseo - Carnard Guildmaster?

Post by Umbra »

Looking further into this topic, which arose when Shinsou Wotan brought our attention to the relationship between Grunties and Guildmasters, I am guessing that Haseo becomes the Guildmaster for Carnard.

Not only does the scene in which Deathrunty is speaking to Haseo resemble the @home for Carnard, but on the official GU website, if you look here you will see that Haseo and his Deathrunty are both in the image of Carnard's @home.

Haseo does seem the type to become Guildmaster for Carnard, he had a particularly tough time when he first logged into The World and I am sure he will have experienced that all over again in GU after being Data-Drained. He may develop a sympathy for newbies at some point, or may admire the idea behind Carnard.

He also seems to possess a stronger will than that of Silabus, who he will have to replace as Guildmaster at some point in order for this to be a reality. Though whether or not it is because Silabus gives up his position willingly, or is incapable of fulfilling his role, or any number of scenarios in which power is transferred to Haseo take place is unknown.

Also, looking at the scan from The World magazine here, I would not be surprised if Haseo becomes a member or even the Guildmaster of Carnard. It appears to me that Carnard will be caught in the middle of larger Guilds' political struggle. Of course, we can not be sure of the role of any of these Guilds until the page is translated.

Incidentally, I would also like to know whether or not Kuhn is a member of Raven, as he seems to be connected with Raven in this diagram.

What you say makes sence, I can see Haseo making a guild for newbies since he was one before. Maybe the connection Canard has with the other guilds is its maybe it's neutral. Moon Tree might be trying to get Canard on their side in the war in exchange for protection from any PKers. While Kiestrel is most likely threating them not to get involved in the war. Since their all newbies and Kiestrel is all PKers I don't really see them wanting them join their side. I can't really figure out Raven's purpose because we don't have a good info about them right now. Kuhn could be part of Raven but that could go either way.

I wouldn't be surprised if Haseo replaced Silibus as guild master. He may be back to newbie level but that doesn't mean he forgot how to play the game. Not to mention, to does who seen Roots. Does the @Home for Canard look a lot like The Twilight Brigade's? Could they have a connection some how? Or am I just seeing things?

thats what is messong me up cause the Canard's and the twilight Brigade guilds have the same look....so you think that maybe Haseo or the previous owner changed the guilds name from Twilight Brigade to Canard?

I think that if it is true that Haso is Guildmaster Canard then he must be neutral for his own reasons. I don't know about the Raven and Kiestrel but he is shown in a pic running around Moon Tree, maybe he is trying to keep peace between the guilds...although that dosen't sound like something he do

Or maybe they just look the same because they were designed the same.

I mean, it's like Blackrose and Mimiru looking the same.

But that's characters. Homes wouldn't look the same unless someone from Twilight Brigade started Canard.

Unless, of course, Twilight Brigade and Carnard share a similar default design for new Guilds. Even TaN's @home has similarities, though not nearly as many as the aforementioned @homes.

So until there if evidence to suggest otherwise, I will say that Carnard is a separate Guild.

Why not? THe fact that BlackRose and Mimiru look similar is due to pure coincidence. This may be pure coincidence as well. Or there may just be a limited number of designs to choose from, even.

It isn't made up of newbies; its purpose is to help newbies. There's a difference.

Given the fact that new blood seldom joins the game due to being killed a lot.

I believe it has been confirmed previously that at the start of GU, Carnard has only two members; Silabus and Gaspard.

So it isn't made up of newbies, though they appear to assist Haseo at the start of the game. With Haseo's prior experience, it would not be difficult to imagine him rising to the top.

The Twilight Brigade was disbanded before the game even began.

Haseo can't be the Canard Guildmaster, Thats Silabus. Aparently Haseo is the Guild Master for A guild but it looks like the Headquarters for the Twilight Brigade. Since the room looks exactly the same.

You know, it might be worth mentioning, that in //ROOTS, the TaN grunty resembles Tawaraya, rather than Naobi.
