Three New Characters
Three New Characters
Though I have yet to see any images of them, AnimeNewsNetwork has revealed that there are three more characters in .hack//Roots, who probably appear in today's episode, Twilight Brigade.
The characters are known as Nazoranty, Iyoten, and Asuta. As I suspected, Mistral's Seiyuu has been given a part in .hack//Roots and she is the one who plays Nazoranty.
I will post any new information I find and would appreciate it if anyone else with information posted it here.

I remember the character with black hair leaning against the wall and another character with purple hair and a rather unusual gauntlet, though I do not believe there is a third character in the preview.
I will assume that you are correct until proven otherwise, there is no reason for me to be against the idea of new characters.
I am guessing that they are Iyoten and Asuta, as I could not imagine Atsuko Enomoto playing either character.

No, what I mean to say is that Atsuko Enomoto, the Seiyuu who played Mistral and A-20, played a character called Nazoranty.Dawn of the Warrior wrote:So Mystrals back, huh?
However, another update seems to show us that Nazoranty was a character that appears solely in episode one, though Enomoto does play a character called B-Set who appears to be solely an episode two character.
Hiroshi Yanaka, the Seiyuu who played Sora, also plays a character for episode two called Gord.

They were in the credits for Episode One, meaning they were in Episode One.Umbra wrote:The characters are known as Nazoranty, Iyoten, and Asuta. As I suspected, Mistral's Seiyuu has been given a part in .hack//Roots and she is the one who plays Nazoranty.

in regards to the characters, I believe I have figured out exactly who they are...
Nazorunty is Ovan's Grunty, as we all know. It also seems to me that Iyoten and Asuta are the two PKs you hear the voices of at the beginning of the first episode.
In other words, Asuta is the female Brandish seen PKing Haseo during a flashback on the GU trailer and Iyoten is the male Blade seen holding his sword to Haseo's throat during the same flashback. In which case, Iyoten and Asuta are the two PKs mentioned in the Play magazine article who help Haseo out before attempting to PK him. They are also the two PKs seen at the beginning of the second chapter of GU+, the two who are shot down by Ovan before he says 'Welcome to The World'.
That would be where Roots picks up from, with Haseo talking to Ovan after being saved from the treacherous Iyoten and Asuta.
