The more I see of .hack GU, and especially now with these new modes of playing as skeith and using a motorcycle to attack and travel, the mroe I think of its potential.

The areas look more varied and detailed, and not so much the same with different skins like they were in the first game as well. Monsters actually react to your hits now and you can have killer combos and aren`t relegated to a twin blade.

In other words, pretty much all the complaints of the old series look to have been adressed.

With all of this, do you think this has the potential to be an 8/10 and above scoring game? Unless something we're not seeing is really screwed up, I think it will.

Weaboo means Wapanese. It's used to describe the nerds who use japanese words in the middle of their english sentences even though they're not Japanese or have ever been there. I personally hate them and share his sentiments, though I don't see how GU of all things will attract Weaboo's.

I found the previous .hack// game series to be down right terrible gameplay wise. You just spammed your melee attack and had your two party members on heal mode. For bosses you just bought 999 potions. It was horribly slow and boring. Only played it for the story.

This game though is looking promising. A few different battle modes, nice graphics, nice story, more customization (main thing I hated was that kite could only wield 1 stupid type of weapon), more dynamic battling system, etc.

I just hope they don't stick to the "haha you gotta farm 10000 monsters for that gate piece!" or the idea that there's replay value because you happen to leave a dungeon generator in the game (wooo the same dugeon 500 times).

Where did that one come from? Obviously online, I know, but I've only heard of 'Wapanese.'

As for the rating question, I can say that GU will probably get better ratings than the first four games. But, I'm really trying not to get my hopes up in the case of a let down.

It came from the rear end of the internet, 4chan. I personally wouldn't advise you to look it up.

I wasn't just using weaboo as someone using random Japanese, but I use weaboo for people who think they know everything about an anime/series/etc. just by getting a muddy overview of the series. (I've met tons of them already.) But I guess it can't be helped.

It did surprise me how much the .hack series changed, and I wondered to myself how the creators have such a wide imagination, I mean, everyone has their limits to it, right? Sorry if this is a little confusing. ;D

Weebos...hmmm.....Well I say moumantai(take it easy) online alot as a parting phrase. Does that make me a weebos? Anyways, I believe GU has the potential to be a 10/10 game. Compared to the last 4 games, GU looks like its in FF standings, hanging w/ the big dogs. The first four were alot like a game based on a series and as we all know, they dont usually blow up to be big like FF, but GU looks like it could be a standalone game. It is very indept as far as the story, the systems are all brand new and innovative, coming up w/ new ideas, characters, and settings. I think GU took .hack to a whole new level.

My point was that the Japanese aren't the most...well known for RPGs with a fast-paced and fun and non-repetitive battle system. They did not so well with the first four games as far as battles go, but I doubt that it will be as boring in GU.

I await a demo.

I think the characters are really interesting in this game... and I think characters are a very important thing in an rpg. If you don't like who you are role playing the game would suck quite a bit.

I am quite gald our main is no longer Kite/Shuugo, I never really did like him all that much. He is just way too happy for my liking.

The graphics look really nice in the trailer too...that's always a plus.
