So the disk must read your save data and give you new news, BBS posts, and the like according to your progress in the game. Its a gradual process throughout each of the 3 volumes. Since Haseo is playing while unconsious, the Terminal Disk acts as the real world for us, and the game acts as the game world, since Haseo cant logout to see any of that.

Actually I have seen pictures with Silabus in the party so it is possible, not sure about tri-edge being a playable character, though...that'd be sweet, though....

Only after the game, like an 'extra' player. Example; the  AI Tsukasa, Sora, Subaru, etc from .Hack//Quarantine.

If it was to be in the stoyline, I'de get a little ticked off, unless it had some deep meaning in between that can convince me Tri-Edge is acting againsed his will.
