Altar carving

I...I don't know if this has been mentioned yet. I've been scanning this forum and I can't find it, but maybe I missed it.

I just noticed that Tri-Edge's symbol is carved into the altar in the chapel where Aura's statue used to be. I don't know how to take a screenshot, so if you want to see it, you'll have to find it on your own. I noticed it in the new trailer. It might have been in the old, I don't know.

I don't know why I never caught this before.

If it's been discussed already, then I'm sorry. I'm a little slow on the uptake.

I suspect that it's directly related to the Atoli flashback. What I envision as the basis of TriEdge's infamy is this: Few if any players have seen him in action and lived to tell about it. Rather, what generally happens is that a character's (Data Drained) corpse is found, with the triple claw mark carved into the scenery somewhere nearby.

That theory makes sense. The claw marks would make him infamous and feared and it would serve as proof that "he" is out there.

hehe; I like the DD/leave logo idea. very original.

I wonder who could have been Data Drained there; if the manga image showing Tri-edge data draining Balmung is accurate, I'd love to see him/any of the other .hackers beind data drained there-maybe the new anime series could focus on Tri-edges creation and the things he has done before this game.

wasn't that carving in the manga, which some kind individual's have translated for us and shown us?

right when haseo walk's into HFHG in the manga, doesn't he see it there?

actually, aside from the fact that he was DD by tri-edge(he got owned!), haseo didn't know what tri-edge looked like before then eh?

To me it looks like an A which could be for Anarchy. I just think the A is Tri-Edge's calling card.

i would rather not think of tri-edge's symbol of coolness as the letter 'A', though it's impossable to deny that it does look like one.....

but if you notice his name is tri-edge and if you were to draw the symbol you would realise that you can draw it with three line's and it also look's like the cut's.....

i want to get that symbol tatooed onto my hand's!

I don't think it really has a meaning other than representing himself, Tri-Edge. It's not some language or anything where the symbol actually means words. Or at least, it doesn't seem like it is.

i doubt it would have a stupid meaning....

and beside's it's a cool symbol and i liked what kimbley on FMA did with his alchemy.
