Cutscenes

Post by wave killer »

How long do you the cutscenes for GU will be? Since it's 80 hours long I would guess they would be at 5 mintues long.

The cutscenes will either be incredibly long(making it a game you watch, not play) or short(making it a game you'd play more, and pay no attention to the story). Perhaps they'll do something in the middle? A game where the cutscenes will balance out with the gameplay?

Longest cutscene I've ever seen was in Xenosaga 2, I think. o_0; I actually fell asleep watching it. x_X

Your all going off topic here, but I think the 2nd volume is come out in japan in July I think and the 3rd volume in december. So don't expect to get all three any time soon.

Now to get on topic,
Perhaps they'll do something in the middle?
That could be possible.

God, I just hope they're not as long as Xenosaga cutscenes.
That's why I couldn't stand that game anymore!

Hmm, I guess the length of the cutscene should depend on what is happening at the time.

But It'd be good if they did the cutscenes about the same as the other four.

yeah, the amount of cutscenes in the first 4 was perfect for portraying a good story while still allowing you to actually play through the game. I dont think we'll have to worry about this aspect of the game, they know what they're doing here.

And yes, to understand anything about Xenosaga 2 or 3, you have to play them in order. Its true they have absolutely massive cutscenes, but i love those games anyway

And it has such an awesome story, i think those cutscenes are needed. Its too bad they're stopping it here at the third one (maybe, its just a rumor at this point) because its supposed to be 6 games long.

I want to kill the whole lot of you! first off, No matter how long the cutscenes are the game will be still be the MAJOR Majority of the game, and if any of you paid attention, when you beat all 3 games, you unlock the Cutscene feature in the Terminal disc with ALL CUTSCENES from all of the games!! OMFG!!! -.-####

You have anger issues, I simply asking a question so chill out! As for the terminal disc I know they will have the old .hack games cutscenes with GU's graphic engine, I'm only asking people what they think how long the cutscenes will be FOR GU!! You don't have to be so critical about it!
