However according to the two-pager in the artboard, Shino is supposed to have:
a) blue hair
b) black clothes
c) red tassel

where that anime "Shino" (Atoli?) looks like:
a) pink hair
b) white clothes
c) red tassel

The only thing in common is the red tassel. A little weird...
This isn't unique to .hack, if you think of Hotaru, who had a similar situation.

While her character design was the same in both the Manga and Anime, the colour of her clothing was very different. Hotaru was dressed in pink in the Anime series while her Manga counterpart wore green.
Ritrox wrote:If you ask me, the artist just got lazy and decided to put different colors on Atoli to make Shino. It is pretty common in animation and manga or comics. Well I do it all the time. and has anyone noticed that Haseo's hair looks like something out of a DBZ cartoon only white? Coincedence or lazyness, you decide.
Are you talking about the Anime or Manga? In either case, I'd have to say that I disagree. While both Atoli and Shino do look similar, as this is part of the storyline, there is no indication that Atoli will feature in the anime series.

As for the manga, there are no two panels where Shino and Atoli are in the same pose, therefore they were drawn separately, therefore that isn't being lazy.

DBZ? Nope, I believe you're mistaken, its just Haseo's hairstyle from the front. You seem to be obsessed with calling Anime artists lazy and that won't earn you any friends.

Incidentally, the Anime pictures should really be discussed on the Anime board.

Light reflection caused by the surrounding area and the upper light rendering.
