Haseo's story in Trailer

Anyone understand the story? I don't. I think the red-haired heavyblade was supposed to be BlackRose. But my question i this, why can't he just simply stab her than chain-saw her head off?

Yeah, the story is quite simple.

Haseo came into the world just as any other was, but pretty much thte second he was spawned, he was PKed by that same girl who he kills later, along with the rest of her little crew.

So, he was PKed, then saved by Ovan, who is possibly the most mysterious .hack character ever, and then Haseo trains under Ovan's clan thing. Once Ovan leaves, and the second in command is DD'd, Haseo is left on his own to train up to the point where he can get revenge on the ones who PKed him (which, as you've seen, he does). After that, he goes off to kill Tri-Edge, who DD'd his friend, Atoli. Tri-Edge totally pwns Haseo, who is then DD'd.

This is where the sheer speculation comes in, but apparently, Skeith saves Haseo from his comatose fate by "sacrificing" itself to the DD.

However, it appears from the ends of the trailers that Skeith is actually reborn in a sense (how? I havn't the slightest clue... that's just what it looks like).

Of course there's lots of other things going on too, but that's Haseo's story.

edit: To answer your original question, it is Tri-Edge who is the evil one (from the player's perspective) not only because he is a massively infamous PK, and the people he PKs get DD'd and subsequentially fall into comas, but he DD's Atoli for... no apparent reason (as far as we can tell so far... most of the stuff you'll hear is merely theorized or speculated).

tri-edge did not dd Atoli but Haseo friend Shino who has the same character type as atoli

Are you sure? I'm almost possitive that he was having flashback images of Atoli in the trailer... (I'd post a screenshot, but I don't know how really)

Dark Knight Sparda is correct, Tri-Edge did Data-Drain a character called Shino.

Shino is the exact same character type as Atoli, but rather than being dressed in white and green, she's dressed in black and red. She was a friend of Haseo's back when he was part of Ovan's guild, the Twilight Brigade.

After she was Data-Drained, she fell into a coma and was visited by a boy IRL almost every day; a net friend. It is still unclear whether or not that boy is Haseo or Ovan.

Ohhh... I see now.

It was kinda all white, and seeing as they look the same (apparently), I couldn't tell the difference.

Thanks for verifying this... I'm still kinda a n00b at the whole series, so every bit of correct info helps. ^^

Even tho the story/plot is a bit dull, its still really interesting! Like the mystery of Tri-Edge! ^_^ I cant wait for it to be released!!!

I hate to say this but Tri-Edge is more Evil one then Haseo is even if Haseo is The Terror of Death. I would still think Tri-Edge is more Evil one.

Haseo merely PK's PKers, who can always just log back in and try again. Tri-Edge Data Drains people and places them in comas they may never awaken from. I don't see how Haseo's preference of play is even in the same league.

Don't you mean Tri-edge Data Drained Hasos. That's what I understand from watching the movie. I thought Skieth wasn't going to make any appearance since Kite beats him in //Infection.

Okay, this is mere speculation.

And yes, Im posting this because tri-edge looks like Kite.

Now in the first 4 games, we play kite, and smash out the evil of The World. Maybe CC2 decided to make us play it the other way around(not exactly, but something to that effect).

OR

Maybe Kite is mad at CC Corp for re-releasing The World, and now people are going comatose(even though at this point its tri-edge whos doing it). And now Tri-edge is a reincarnate(sp), of Kite(he looks like him, he has the bracelet, hell hes even the same class), and he's tring to destroy The World o_O!

CONSPIRACY!!!

Also, do we know if any of the older characters make guest appearancies(sp), IE, Balmung, who has a uncanny knack for showing up to 'defeat' the evil.
