Chain sword on game menu screen?

The version number also caught my eye. I can't remember the original ver. numbers of the other games...and even if they aren't directly connected, it's obvious that The World has been this way for some time.

That is one nice looking Sword...but yes *Cough* this pic reminds me of and Creation aera of the Final Fantasy world...like more between FF7 AC and FF8...but I think that would draw mostly the FF People to play that game since that main long in place dose remind me of that but lets hope it don't lead to that...but good pic of the Sword someting new it don't have that 'Hex Of Twilight' or 'Leged of Twilight' thing that well get use to seeing on the Sword but good info.

More than likely it's just a random sword (like the one in the other games).

If you look at the root town it looks like an deserted town the towers in the back etc. CCCRREEEPPPYY!! The chain sword could just be there to show that there was drastic changes to the world other then the root towns.

That is what I also thought. It doesn't do that good if it is just a chain-saw. Unless it suppose to have special powers.

It would be kind of stupid to say it's Net Slum (no offence) for one, half the players don't even KNOW about Net Slum, and Lios found out about it in the Games series (and I assume he's been fired, posablly even before .hack//LOTTB?) I doubt Lios would have reported all that was going on in the games, since wasn't he on Kite's side (near the end of game 3?).

I doubt any of the Sys Admins know where Net Slum is now, or even if it exists.

I'm sure Helba put up more security to protect Tri-Edge from getting in there or somethnig.

I just think thats a regular sword That was put there so the log in screen doesn't look so empty. Its just a sword its not a big deal I mean.....we will be c'ing a lot of them throught the game process

Yeah it could be that to considering the sword in the other games with 'key of the twilight' written on it when it had nothing to deal with the current surcumstance.

I can't make it out, but does it say anything on the sword?

The sword in the first .hack// saga had the words, "Key of the Twilight" as a referance to .hack//SIGN.

In the new magazine scans (!!) you can tell that it's the new Mac Anu in the background of the title screen though. I'm so glad they arn't using COMIC SANS this time. XD
