.dot hack//G.U.. part 2 & 3

How do you think the next games will be? Will they involve the same 8 charachters, or will there be a whole new cast of charachters? And if the same 8 charachters are in the next games, will they just be told in different point of views. Personally I would like to see the old players come back with thier new charachters and go on an adventure of thier own, tying into the first G.U. What's everyone elses thoughts?

Why do you people want to see the old characters so bad? Gah, annoying. Just let go, folks.

As the old games did, the volumes will be chapters of the same story. So, no old characters will be appearing for "their own adventure"... -_-

I mean, I wouldn't mind seeing like...concept art of the old characters after they have aged for so-and-so years...maybe have some unlockable movie, but I don't want to see them involved in the gameplay itself.

Um, but yeah, there is no chance of the old characters starring in a new game...at least as far as GU is concerned.

Bottomline. Don't bother arguing...

Besides, how can the old characters come back? Their old characters aren't compatible anymore, and if they made new characters, either A) no one would like it and wouldn't familiarize, B) They'd pretty much take over the story and deprive Haseo and the others of their well-deserved spotlight, or C) Both.

When I say old charachters, im not meaning from the four videogames. I'm talking .dot hack//SIGN. I mean, aside from part 4 of the games, we havent played with any charachters from the show (unless you want to get all supernerd on me and point out that balmung and orca are featured and or mentioned in SIGN), and that was only Tsukasa, Subaru, and Sora. I would personally like to zip around mac anu controling bear or crim as the main charachter. Maybe the SIGN charachters could come back with thier new avatars and help figure this out. It could quite possibly make for a great story, starting up with a level 1 bear and working your way up

It isn't really a matter of compatibility. It is a matter of character design; their character designs are out-dated.

Well, if that is what you want, then you're not going to get it from GU. So sad, too bad.

The last thing I want out of //G.U. is to have some corny, fanfiction material cross-over/cameo. We're more likely to see subtle references to old characters and "easter eggs," if you will. The previous .hack saga has already been milked enough through its various forms of media - not to mention //fragment.
