New Information from .hack//G.U. The World

Post by Shinsou Wotan »

I've been reading the G.U. BBS, and there's quite a lot of new information there. I've already posted about the final class, but from just the first post in the thread on .hack//G.U. The World, there's a lot more than that.

Multiweapon apparently gets to choose two or three varieties of weapon at the time of character creation. If I'm understanding the post correctly, they unlock the ability to use these weapons by completing special quests. ((If so, this may also be where Haseo's heavy armor comes from.))

Haseo's big sword is named "Oomukade" (meaning "giant centipede").

"Lost Ground" ((Possibly Hidden Forbidden Holy Ground)), an area which has existed since the Fragment era, was repeatedly reached by players, and it became such a big topic of discussion that CC Corp, unable to ignore it, reluctantly acknowledged its existence.

Mac Anu has grown much larger, and there are new types of dungeons.

It looks like Haseo may not be transforming into Skeith, though this is disputed in a later post.

It isn't Atoli herself in the trailer flashbacks, but a lookalike by the name of Shino, with silvery hair and black hat and clothes. She's attacked (probably Data Drained) by TriEdge, and goes comatose IRL, for at least half a year.

At first, Haseo, along with Ovan and Shino, is in a guild called the "Twilight Brigade". But then Ovan suddenly disappears, the Brigade is disbanded, and Shino is killed by TriEdge. Haseo, out for revenge, starts searching for TriEdge. But to go from newbie to legendary PKK in half a year.... As he says, "I had no choice but to get stronger..."

That line, by the way, is spoken to Ovan. ((This is purely my speculation, but I suspect it's a rather annoyed response to Ovan's "You've gotten a lot stronger than you were back then".))
The line from the end of the trailer, "Today, he will return to the stage of that tragedy," is addressed to Haseo, and is probably ((again, this is my speculation)) referring to TriEdge and spoken on the day of the showdown.

More to come from the rest of the thread later, and the next installment should come out on January 26.

The Shino/Atoli correllation does make sense. If you look at the second trailer during the flashback scene, the girl speaking the line, "I think I've lost my love for this world" IS Shino. The qualifier: Shino's hat has a RED tassel, while Atoli's hat has a GREEN tassel.

I was thinking about this when I was watching the second trailer (yet again...and I'm sure I'm not the only one) a couple of nights ago...

Hm,I agree..the title of Atoli, the Mirage of Deceit, does make sense.I never really paid attention to the different "tassels" that were shown.I must say, very good observation.
