the kite character is maybe kite just a little messed

think if the 8 phases are the characters maybe the data drain junk has gotten into kite and messes him up or shugo cant forget him

if the 8 phase are the characters maybe this version of kite is trying to eliminate them. thats why haseo is shown being killed first because he is Skieth terror of death the first phase to be killed in the game.[/spoiler]

Very good points, but who is to say that Kite will not be the one who kills Tri-Edge in the end.

I don't think Tri-Edge would be Kite, but there is a link between him and the Eight Phases, there are two theories that, in my mind, would make the most sense. Tri-Edge is Programmed to destroy the Phases as Kite did, with the Phases being the protagonists, that makes him the 'villain'. Tri-Edge is, in fact, some remnant of Cubia or something similar, negative data that does the exact opposite to Kite and DDs other players.

As for Kite killing Tri-Edge, I don't think so...that'd be a very boring ending for the story, to find out what Tri-Edge is about and face him in a final showdown only to have Kite pop up and kill him. Not fun.

Maybe I phrased it wrong. I will try again. As you may or may not know you will be able to transfer your Completed Game saved file from Quarantine to G.U. Vol. 1: Resurrection. It may affect one of the other G.U. games, but you might get to use Kite in the final battle with Tri-Edge. For all I know you might have Kite in your party will all of his stats and equipment he had in the saved file you transferred or you might play as Kite in the battle for all I know. It would still be tuff because you would not even be able to prepare Kite for the battle It would be easy to fail and even harder to win.

They've already said its nothing major, I'm guessing just a movie or some form of item? I don't think it'll be an extra character...

We don't even know that Tri-Edge is the final boss, or even a normal boss, I personally think you will have to fight him but they wouldn't reveal the true enemy so quickly. At the beginning of .Hack//Infection, I remember thinking that Skeith was the big bad.

The data flag can have very different effects for the new game...if it´s even possible to take it which is not proved as far as I know.

Tri-Edge is maybe only a tool of the main enemy, or he isn´t even an enemy, who knows? Just because he kicks Haseo's ass don´t indicates that he must be a villain...

In the first four games you don´t come even to know the main enemy cuz Morganna doesn´t make any appearance or speaks/attacks like she did in Sign...

Haseo wasnt' killed first it was Atoli. Most likely there is someone else behind tri-edge he might be like cubia in the past games a side main boss.

My point exactly, Sephiroth. Jeez, a lot a people automatically assume that Tri's totally evil because he DD'd Haseo. Maybe he is, maybe he isn't, but we really shouldn't assume before we have enough information!
