I've ordered the shirt myself, the hoodie was not good enough for me to justify spending almost 7000 yen on it. Plus the weather's gonna get warm soon and I'd rather a shirt than a black XL hoodie!SSJScygoku wrote::3 I finally gotten ahold of the Haseo figures, along with some of the signed Overlord cards all of which is protected by an Umaru beanie lol I've just put in a request for the new .hack hoody, shirt and poster thats now on amazon.jp ^_^

I've been really slacking on my .hack merch lately. At this point I think I'm waiting for a new artbook before placing a big order haha.
In other news, I got caught up with life for the last 6-months and before I knew it it's already May. Also, it's weird how Last Recode got announced almost a year ago, how did a year go by!? craziness

I forgo-ed my Japan trip this year because I'll likely be studying there starting this fall. I hope by some miracle a new .hack entry is announced sometime soon so by the time I'm there it'll be merch city. ლ(´ڡ`ლ)

Nice man! Save up that cash to get all the .hack merch when you're there, there is so much of it that we can't get our hands on from over here.Falions wrote:I forgo-ed my Japan trip this year because I'll likely be studying there starting this fall. Greeting's collectors! Andrew on the CyberConnect2 (EN) Facebook page hosts a weekly segment known as Super Fan Friday's where you the fans can send the page a Facebook messenger message noting why you should be on Super Fan Friday. Since October 2017 when they started this weekly segment, there has been 18 .hack fans usually collectors, cosplayers, and both who suggested they should be selected. And when approved they appeared on CC2's Facebook page showing their .hack collection and cosplay photos. I suggest you collectors, that you all enroll in this event!

CC2 has other properties, and they too have been featured on their page, but we dothackers should dominate their page every Friday with some .hack goodies to remind them and everyone watching how extensive and amazing the series is and how notable and awesome the fans truly are.

xD I am currently taking new photos of my collection seeing as some of the older ones aren't that amazing and TRYING to make fewer but its not easy, limited space and all along with a crapload of tiny items you wouldn't beable to make out even if you zoomed in ^^'Erroneous wrote:Greeting's collectors! d(^_^) hopefully we'll steal tonnes of spots with our .hack collections, though they may take a break if they have other CC2 game fans just incase it seems they are being too biased. But if nobody but .hack fans are applying then all the better for us :3

The holographic effect is kind of weird. Distracting, almost!

^_^ It looks so nice framed like that~
xD It reminded me of the fake Pokemon cards or their over the top holo effect, wasn't expecting it to sparkle like that.
Have you got anything on the way to you? @-@
Re: What is your Rarest .hack// collectable?
Nothing in particular. I'm shipping off to Japan this Sunday, so it'll be my mission to find .hack goods for the next year. Off the top of my head I really want to find those metal Kite blades and perhaps something like .hackeys. Seeing as I'll have a Japanese address, I'll be patrolling YJA more than usual.SSJScygoku wrote: Have you got anything on the way to you? @-@

I hope you can find them while in Japan, can't say I've seen .hack//Arms Swords of Kite for awhile now but the .hackeys appear every so often. xD i'm sure the postie will become well acquainted with your address~
P.S. let me know if you come across any Overlord gatcha machines xD

Re: What is your Rarest .hack// collectable?
Perhaps my best post ever incoming....
It has now been 2 weeks since I arrived in Japan. On my first day I obviously booked it to Akihabara and looked for .hack goods. Here's some of the stuff I picked up in the Kotobukiya store:
This Chimchim is the pass case one, but I'm not man enough to wear it outside...
I also bought some Solatorobo and Tail Concerto keychains, but I don't have a photo handy.
Then, I remembered I now have a Japanese address, so I began to order nonsense online:
The G.U. magazines came with a couple extra goodies, one with some sort of special Trilogy soundtrack (which I will upload to my Youtube channel eventually) and one with an episode guide to Roots. I was impressed these Amazon sellers selling these for dirt cheap maintained those too. This stuff is mega cheap when you don't have to use a mail forwarding service.
I also have a couple posters still in the mail.
But the real treat came during TGS......
After the show itself, I went out with a Japanese CC2 fanclub. I wasn't the only foreigner, thankfully, but we all got by okay. It's fun, we're having a good time, it's nomihoudai so you pay a flat fee and get unlimited drinks for a few hours. I'm downing some highballs, straight chilling, and then I am told: Matsuyama will be coming.
Lo and behold:
I apparently was the only person who did not know. The 10 minutes between when I was told and when he arrived were perhaps some of the most stressful in my life. I was trying to sober up as fast as I could (which I would later find out was unnecessary, since he had been coming from Bandai Namco's own party).
Anyway, I was able to tell him thanks for absolutely everything, that I had been a fan since I was an actual child, and that I was in Japan because .hack started this crazy chain of events in my life. I also told him I'd like to work at CC2 after I graduate as a translator, so this was like my preliminary interview, haha...
Niizato was also there:
I thanked him profusely as well.
Here's the autograph in full (I asked for Tokio):
I haven't taken it out of the plastic wrap because the next time I do will be to frame it.
He didn't know how to spell my name, so I wrote it out on his hand in permanent marker (so he definitely remembered me the next day):
I have a cornucopia of photos I am not really allowed to share, so...... teehee. I think I got to meet the most honest, no nonsense Matsuyama. I'm really glad I got to meet him in this setting and not at a more formal thing like a convention or something.
I also asked him about "the truth of the truth of Emma Wieland" to which he gave me the most evil, demonic laugh.
In general it has been a really good two weeks in Japan. I also got to meet SUDA51, another one of my biggest inspirations (in fact I'd probably say the only series I care about as much as .hack is Kill the Past).
Here's one final bonus:
From the May 2008 issue of the .hack//G.U. magazine. It's interesting to see that as early as 2008 they were showing off this kind of third season imagery. The kanji on the right means "next." Someday, we'll know the truth of truths....
As for now, I had the time of my life. I seriously think this was one of if not the best nights of my life. Someone I've had so much to say to for so long, and I got to know him pretty intimately in the first go. Meeting both Matsuyama and Suda were like two of my goals this year, and I knocked them off within 2 weeks. Next up, I guess, is to somehow get absolutely hammered with Hideaki Anno. Might be a bit harder, though.
Expect plenty of more posts from me. The year is only beginning.
