I thought this article was very interesting so I wanted to share. Apparently, a group of people decided to hold create a theater and hold several plays in Final Fantasy XIV. Since .hack was always a little based off of MMORPG's like FFXI and Phantasy Star Online. I wonder how the environment of online games today will affect the rest of the series. CC2 already created an MMORPG and the Mobile Titles, so there must be something after that to bring back to the community. And that does count what they're doing with Project Layered. (VR is a thing now. Opened Source Multimedia Projects are here too, so what's after that real life AI in a video game ala Premier?)

Yeah, way I see it, VR will just be for simulator games, that and I don't want to look like this the rest of the day after playing:

I own a PSVR and it doesn't leave an imprint on your face because it's not tied down the same way as that model of the Rift. At the most you'll get some helmet hair if you have hair in front of your forehead. Otherwise it's very light and comfortable; I've played for hours on end before.Kaori wrote:Yeah, way I see it, VR will just be for simulator games, that and I don't want to look like this the rest of the day after playing:

Yikes... I never knew it could be that bad.Kaori wrote:Yeah, way I see it, VR will just be for simulator games, that and I don't want to look like this the rest of the day after playing:
Anyway. So avoid the rift... And embrace the PSVR? Personally this is a bit of speculation but I think should be coming out with curved screens for VR gazers later on. The technology for flexible glass has existed for a while, and I've been waiting to see where it goes for some time. (Though if you got the idea from this post then you owe me big time you corporate people you)
EDIT: Also @Kaori - Simulator Games? So stuff like Summer Lessons?

Yeah, I was surprised with just how comfortable PSVR was after seeing images like Kaori's.(Phantom) Thief wrote:

Keep in mind this is all still first-gen hardware. Sure it looks futuristic now, but someday when we've got flexible glass headsets no lighter than your regular pair of glasses we'll be looking back thinking, "Wow, look at those huge boxes on our faces!"
At least, that's how I feel right now regardless.

Stuff like ace combat, armored core, that sort of stuff, do we really need to be in first person in every game?(Phantom) Thief wrote:Yikes... My hope would be that you can switch between POV. But until they need to get pass the size. Ah anime you have what we do not. Meanwhile for Guilty Dragon and New World they've moved onto replaced the controller with mobile phones. (Guess Sekai and Link were a warning for the portable stuff they wanted to with the the future of the series.):Kaori wrote:Stuff like ace combat, armored core, that sort of stuff, do we really need to be in first person in every game?(Phantom) Thief wrote:Yikes...
