Aye, so far I've watched SIGN and Liminality. I already spotted a guy who's selling his Legend of the Twilight Bracelet manga collection (in this country, each of the three volumes has been divided in two by the publisher, so that makes it six), so if I can't get unopened copies, I'll get in touch with him. Right now I think I'll start with Roots.SSJScygoku wrote:^-^ glad to see another dothacker~ That was quite awhile ago, nice to see you played through all of the US released games, do you plan to get into the anime/manga series aswell? @.@

^.^ Having watched the prequel and played IMOQ/Liminality is a good place to start, odd I haven't heard of a publisher putting out 6 volumes. Which country are you from if you don't mind my asking?Gae Bolg wrote:Aye, so far I've watched SIGN and Liminality. welcome new people.
Re: New to the boards? Introduce yourself here!
Not at all. I'm from Argentina. Dunno why the publisher (Ivrea) made it six volumes, it kinda makes it harder to track down. And yeah, I loved what I've played/watched so far. I love how the pieces complement each other and at the end it all starts to make sense.SSJScygoku wrote:^.^ Having watched the prequel and played IMOQ/Liminality is a good place to start, odd I haven't heard of a publisher putting out 6 volumes. Hey there. I played GU like 10 years ago and just finished all 3, 100%'d Vol 1 and 2, during the New Year's break. I'm now going to watch all the anime series since I love dot hack so much. Replaying my childhood games really made me happy I could cry. Glad this forum still exists :')
Re: New to the boards? Introduce yourself here!
I just hopped onto this forum as well!
I played all the games when I was a kid. I wasn't expecting a forum like this to still be getting activity tbh. Glad it does though!

Are you planning to pick up the FUNimation re-releases or do you have the previous released dvds?

I've watched/ read everything actually. Haha
I've mostly done so online but I've been trying to grab everything when I see it in person. I have all the G.U. manga and some of twilight. As well as a physical copy of infection.

Of course! I know how important it is to actually support the things you enjoy. Especially if you want new content.
Yeah that's unfortunate. I got really lucky when I picked up infection a local resell place had it for 6 bucks!

^.^ exactly,if you want more over then support the series...unless the company has been taking fans for a ride and not bothering to make any good games/stop making them altogether. Sure the mobile games haven't made it over but there was been quite abit of .hack merch released in Japan to keep me at bayCustat wrote:Of course! Very lucky you found them at that price, IMOQ I paid full price for when they came out here Though I did snag the NTSC copies of IMOQ,Special Edition of G.U. vol 1 and 5 guides for $100 or so ^_^
Re: New to the boards? Introduce yourself here!
Very true. Even back in the day I really just hoped they would sit tight on trying to release more games and work on a really good mmo that would be Oculus Rift compatible. Unfortunately I just don't see that happening. Especially if they're starting to move more towards smart phone gaming...SSJScygoku wrote:

GOSH that's a lot. Although I guess even when they came out they were pretty pricey. It just feels like way more now that I have bills to pay lol

Who knows, they may work on a .hack related game now that VR tech has been kicking off and what better game to use than one that incorporates VR technology in the story aswellCustat wrote:Very true. ^^' the seller needed them sold asap so thats why the price was low. Yeah but now they command double to triple the original price, well some of the games do if they are complete and in good condition. >.< damn bills getting in the way of .hack!

^_^ the omnibus is much larger than normal volumes that holds several volumes worth of content and sometimes bonus chapters aswell. There was a release in the US/UK for itGae Bolg wrote:Didn't quiet get what you meant with the omnibus thing, but... Thanks! I sure will!
