I mean I liked Sakisaka and some elements and other characters of ROOTS.
But as a whole, it kinda ruined my perception of things and felt mostly unnecessary.

Like the Star Wars prequels.

This is great! I love to see .hack represented in other media, it's like a treasure hunt!
Anyone else know any other cameos?

I was thinking of buying Graces recently, and that just might be the reason for me to bite the bullet. I am a sucker for that kind of stuff.

I hope you can speak moon, for if you plan to get the english version, you'll need to jump through some hurdles (HACKING) to get the Haseo costume. As it's not available normally.
If you plan to get the japanese one, it's easy. But then again, you need to learn or already know moonspeak for it to be a worth investment.

I'm proficient enough for conversational Japanese, but writing is another story... if it ain't Hiragana or Katakana, I don't want it!
Damn, well... I guess that's how the cookie crumbles.

I think I must have been around 9 when my older brother let me play his copy of .Hack G.U. I don't think there was a single moment where I wasn't in awe of everything happening. Everything from Haseo's first fight against Tri-edge to the very end of Vol 1 had all of my attention when I was playing. Once I finished I immediately bought the second and borrowed the third from my brother's friend. And now years later I can go back to the games and appreciate them even more, now that I can appreciate all the beautiful writing that went into them. I have played many wonderful games in my life, but none of them have ever been more dear to me then the .Hack series. It makes me really happy I found this place too. I haven't known many people who have even heard the name .hack before; so finding a community that is still thriving and full of life that love these games means a lot to me.
