Madrian walks around in disbelief.
"How could this happen? How did I get here? Am I in a magical land?" He thinks to himself.
Around him, as far as his eyes can see, sand dunes, that seems to rise to the skies, the sky meets the dunes perfectly, seeming to blanket the dunes in a violet twilight. The dunes have a purple tint, the sky, full of the night stars. He comes near the highest dune, the moon rests above, with the ominous lighted clouds. It seemed, as if you could climb that dune, you'd be in heaven.
He sat down, and stared at the moon in amazement. After awhile, he began to think of home, his father.
"I wonder how I get back? If my father is worried?"
The images of his home filled his mind, the moon became fuzzy, the dunes faded away.
He was whisked away to his bedroom, his father, was sitting on his bed. He showed no surprise, as if he knew he would return.
"Hello son, how was your trip where did you go?
"You knew this would happen?"
"Of course, I crafted them after all. Now, please tell me what it was like, where you went."
"Why not put them on yourself? You could find out first hand!"
"I can not, once the power is released to some one, no other can tap into that power."
Madrian tell his father of the place, that seemed as if from a fairy-tale. After Madrian finished his story, the two sat in the room.
"Get some rest Madrian, tomorrow, I tell you of the importance and responsibilities you now have with those shoes."
Madrian layed in bed for hours, thinking of the desert, what responsibilities he may now have....eventually he drifted off to sleep.

She looked at her broken and fallen over mailbox.
"Yeah, looks like the mailbox took a beating" she huffed and sat down in the grass. "Stupid shoes" she said angrily. She grasped the heals of the shoes and tried pulling them off as hard as she could, but they would not come off.

Louie stood there eyeballing Shay, sizing him up, "You know, you look pretty pathetic, I haven't you this tripped up in a while." "Shut up! Just shut up! You know what... you're not even real!" Shay threw his arms in the air visibly frustrated and walked out of his door. "What's the matter Shane? You look down." Shay looked behind him, but that wasn't Louie's voice. "What ever..." Shay ignored the voice and continued down to the stairs. As he left his building he heard another voice say, "I hope you don't come back...damn brat." Shay immediately turned around, "Who said that?" The door hit Shay in the face, nearly knocking him off his feet. "I did, you punk!" Shay kicked the door and looked behind it, "This isn't funny!" "The door! The door you idiot!" The door locked itself and slammed Shay out onto the street. Shay his the sidewalk and pushed himself off the floor. "Don't worry about that door, it's always been a jerk. Near 70 years, and he never gave anyone an easy time." Shane looked at the side walk, now unable to avoid the things happening around him. "Am I talking to the sidewalk?" "Some kid etched 'Eddie' into me a decade ago...I'd like to be called by that name" "Sure thing...I am going crazy..."
