What Are Your Thoughts On The Upcoming Street Fighter X Tekken
Here's A Little Bio From Wiki
" The game will feature characters from both the Street Fighter and Tekken series. As the game is produced by Capcom, with Namco being involved more in the licensing of the Tekken cast, the gameplay will be based on the mechanics of Street Fighter IV as opposed to Tekken. The demo shown at the San Diego Comic-Con showed characters Ryu and Kazuya Mishima fighting each other, being tagged by Street Fighter's Chun-Li and Tekken's Nina Williams."

It Seems That One Version Will Be Done By Capcom, And The Other Being Done By Namco, Resulting In Street Fighter X Tekken And Tekken X Street Fighter Respectively.
Btw, The Tag System from Tekken Tag Is Being Used In Street Fighter X Tekken

WTF was this doing in the Role-Play section? D8' *moves*
Even though it isn't actually Capcom vs Namco (which would've had alot more potential IMO), i'm HEAVILY excited by this news, as SF vs Tekken has been something i've wanted to see since i first bought the original Tekken game for the PS1. I'm SO getting BOTH games when they come out, and i'm almost sure they'll become my favorite fighting games ever (a spot currently tied with DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and Tekken 6). I'll also probably have a nerdgasm once i see a Rolento vs Bryan Fury battle.

Are you sure about this yet? What we saw from that demo battle isn't any enough to say there's actually such a tag system like that. After all, Tekken Tag Tournament didn't have special attacks where the tag partner came and stunned/held up the opponent for a direct special hit. For all we know they could probably be just the way some specials are going to be for the game, and Chun-Li/Nina appeared just because...and the specials were that way to "balance" the fact that Tekken has a heavy lack of projectile-like attacks and their "specials" are usually slow-charging physical attacks.Btw, The Tag System from Tekken Tag Is Being Used In Street Fighter X Tekken

Re: Street Fighter X Tekken
This shall be very epic. Capcom is going to make a lot of money off of this. SF vs Tekken and Marvel vs Capcom 3 will bring in casuals, and hardcore games. There going to be tier list as usual, but I hope the gap between high, and low tier isn't big. The more characters there are the harder it is to balance.

Even So, Sf X Tekken Was Revamped To Make Sure Those Issues Were Dealt With, Like in the video. You seen how Kazuya Dodged Ryu's Hadouken with a low dash.TheSorrow wrote:WTF was this doing in the Role-Play section? D8' *moves*

I'm fairly sure any prayer I've ever had about any fighting game ever was just answered.Final wrote:Co-Sign.Saizou wrote:Seconded.zaseo wrote:I hope Jin, and Devil Jin shall be characters.

Re: Street Fighter X Tekken
Is that a fan-made pic (or just a random image in general), or have they released information and images already for Tekken x Street Fighter? O-O
I mean the Tekken-engine one, of course. For Street Fighter x Tekken we already have that ComicCon battle thingy that started it all >3>

Well picking one engine over the other is hard, so why not get both. I'm more of a Tekken player yet still. I like Street Fighter style gameplay.

Re: Street Fighter X Tekken
Of course i'm going to get BOTH of them, even if i've hardly played Street Fighter, and my last experience with the Street Fighter engine was MAYBE in Capcom vs SNK 2. And i actually spammed the hell out of that game with specials from Sagat, Rolento, and that Daisuke guy XDDzaseo wrote:Well picking one engine over the other is hard, so why not get both. Actually, i can't even say just what kind of "fighting gameplay style" Street Fighter has D: For example, i can say for sure that Tekken is such a "combo fighter", as the basis of Tekken are to make the most amount of attacks while keeping the enemy airbone, or just unable to move or break the combo...the Bound addition in Tekken 6 just made this even greater. But i don't know what SF would be..."Special Move fighter?", "Quick Hit fighter" maybe? D:
Anyways, i'm indeed getting Street Fighter's engine as well, even if i'm a n00b to such gameplay and i'll have to learn ALOT before being able to finish an Arcade run. And my last question wasn't because i wanted Tekken x Street Fighter more (even though i'm teh pr0z on Tekken 6), but because i haven't seen any information regarding that one, as in images or details, while for SF x Tekken we already have some intro-thingy and a battle recorded XD

Re: Street Fighter X Tekken
Sadly, I seriously doubt SoulCalibur will get a cross over with anyone. Even though I love that game so much.
Re: Street Fighter X Tekken
I'm really excited for this. I play SSFIV all the time, so I'm hoping that this will just be an improvement upon that system.

There's always room to hope, I for one would love to see a Soul Calibur crossover game.Erranty wrote:Sadly, I seriously doubt SoulCalibur will get a cross over with anyone. Even though I love that game so much.
I'm sure I'll end up getting both, but I'm really waiting for Tekken X Street Fighter.
...Jin FTW?
