It just hit me... When .hack is all over, why not have the site be a CC game forum? That way it can continue on.

Everyone is lucky that Kuukai is basically a CC2 fanboy (otherwise this Solarobo and other CC2 project news would not be translated) - and I am not too far off myself; although he has visited CC2 and met Matsuyama and such... epic CC2 nerd. I think we'll both play it by ear, .hack, at least in the U.S. is far from over. We may be well into 2012 before it's officially "done" here.

And who says it has to end there? People are still operating active fansites for things like the original megaman series, and that's LONG since ended. All we have to do is wait for the influx of //LINKers and //QUANTUMers to fix the current inactivites, and then we can just -y'know- continue to 'be'.

EDIT: and for all my love of dothack, I can tell you now that less than 30% of my time spent on this board has been directed towards actual .hack realted stuffs.
