Yuri: yeah I have actually Its the first hymns song I've heard I heard it as a child from my mother sonag it to me I dont rerember the lyrivs to clearly all I rerember is this melody it sort of haunts my soul but when ever I have troule I just listen to this melody and I feel better......... ahh sorry I;m ranbling that mustve been boring huh I apologize

"No, no. Please don't apologize for that, Yuri." Rayne said quickly when he had quieted. She paused in her speach, a light pink appearing on her cheeks as her gaze fell slightly. "I understand what you mean by that...That song..it soothes me as well, and yet it can also seem to 'haunt my soul,' as you said, as well.." Her mind flashed the lyrics to the melody as it continued playing inside her thoughts, and she found herself wanting to sing aloud. She restrained, however, and simply smiled.

"I could teach you the lyrics, if you want," she offered after falling silent for a moment. "Afterall, you can read Hymnos, correct? The lyrics are simple, at least to me they are, so maybe you'll be able to pick them up easily. Then, you don't just have to think of the melody to the song, because as soothing as it alone is, the lyrics have a calming magic all to themselves.."

Yuri: thanks buts its ironic I can read the hymnos and I carry reiyvetailian blood but I;m tone death so I;m gonna have to pass on that I dont want ruin the song but you can sing it if you want too no need to hold yourself back

The pink of her cheeks momentarely darkened, but it quickly faded back to the dull hint of color it had previouslly been. I guess my face is like an open book at times, she thought to herself with a quiet giggle. Changing the topic from her singing the song, she went back to the previous topic of her teaching him the lyrics, if he wanted her to. "I'm sure you wouldn't ruin the song, Yuri. It's impossible to ruin a song that has so much meaning to as many people as it does...Especially if one of those people is the one singing it."

A soft knock at the door caught Rayne's attention, drawing her gaze away from Yuri and towards the door leading into the living room. "Do you want me to go and get it for you so you can finish eating?" she asked calmly, wanting to be of as much help as she possibly could be.

Chance didn't really want to ruin the mood, but Yuri did say to hit him with all he had at any point and also to watch without his eyes which he was doing, instead keeping them flicking about the room as he usually did. Periodically he would keep his eyes trained on Yuri examining his master's stance and movements, but he was concentrating more on, the sounds, the smells, the tastes of those on his tongue, and the minute vibrations coming up through his feet. He felt the footsteps before the knock on the door and moved his eyes to the window, checking to make sure there wouldn't be any surprises.

As soon as Rayne finished speaking, Chance threw a backhand at Yuri's face, hooked his foot behind Yuri's ankle to try and knock him off balance, and drew his dagger to bring it to Yuri's gut. He was more interested in how his master would counter than if he would actually succeed.

Yuri: { he falls back over chances foot to avoid the rest of the attacks and at the same time he judo throws him out of the way and he lands crouched down and he than stands up} wow you really were listening huh didnt know you had knife that could of been dangerous} he shows him the knife he went at yuri with and gives it to him} you have skill alot of it and potential but we'll go training later but for now you did a good job keep up that focus all day and you wont die later ohh yeah rayne if you want you can get that

Rayne had remained in the kitchen while Chance had suprised Yuri with his stealth attack, and only when she noticed that they were done for the moment did she move over to the doorframe seperating the living and dining rooms. Once Yuri told her she could get the door, Rayne nodded lightly and walked past the two to get to the door.

When she glanced out the small window, she noticed a familiar face standing on the step outside, so she opened the door with a smile on her face, her blush fully vanished now. "Kyrie, what are you doing here?" The girl outside, obviouslly a Reyvatail as well, smiled back at Rayne and reached out to hand her a letter that she had been holding at her side. "I was sent to give you that, mainly, but there's something that's been going around that I wanted to talk with you about, if you have the time."

Rayne turned and looked at Yuri and Chance and said, "Please excuse us for a moment," before turning back to Kyrie and stepping outside, pulling the door closed behind her. Of course she would more than likely feel required to tell them both whatever it was afterwords, with Yuri being her partner and all, but for Kyrie's sake, she would seemingly keep it between them for now.

After a few minutes, Rayne returned inside and Kyrie was gone. "I apologize for that, but Kyrie likes to keep things secretive if she feels it needs to be.."

Yuri: { decides to leave the topic alone} hey rayne wanna go and train with us later it will be fun I'll be able to show my secret traiing grounds trust me its a great location even if you just want to relax its well I like to call my placce just to get away from everything so yeah we'll leave in a few hours but for now we''l just relax chance try t focus through out this whole day rely on your senses balance all 5 out and apply them evenly dont just rely on one

He replayed what happened in his head three times after standing back up, making mental notes about both how Yuri countered and his reaction speed. Very fast, as expected, but it looks like I did manage to surprise him. Maybe he wasn't expecting me to try so soon. Still, I got myself thrown across the room. Chance nodded to Yuri, "I understand. I'll be practicing katas in the meantime to help myself focus." It's not that he has anything against relaxing, its just that doing katas was fairly relaxing for him. Chance started for the living room but stopped midway through the door, turning back to Rayne and Yuri. "I know it might not be particularly encouraged, but when we're not training, Yuri, would one of you two please try to teach me to read [Hymmnos]? I know since I'm not Reyvetail I probably won't be able to, but I'd like to try." He smiled briefly and then exited into the living room and withdrew a second dagger from his boots.

Chance spun the twin blades and himself around several times before coming to a rest in the center of the room with his arms at his sides and facing the front of the house. He enters into a long series of katas, varying between fast and slow, allowing him to concentrate more on his five senses and also try to figure out how he had done that slow motion thing against Yuri the day before. He was making an effort to silence his movements so that they wouldn't interfere with his senses.

Yuri: uhh well I'm not exactly a good teacher chance and I'm allready your master for knighthood so I think if its even possible rayne should do so

"I could try to teach him, but I can't gurantee I'd be any good at it...If it's even possible to teach a non-Reyvatail how to read [Hymnos], that is," Rayne whispered to Yuri, having realized that Chance was using all the silence he could in his personal training in the next room.

"Also,...Um, if you don't mind, there's something I need to speak with you about, but I'd really prefer to wait until later..Again, however, that's only if that's alright with you, Yuri.." She still held the letter from Kyrie in her hand, but now that she was mentioning speaking with him about what the letter contained, she was clutching it a little tighter than nessicary. She hid that, though, by holding it against her leg, and also by holding her hands together behind her back casually.

Yuri: hey your the one who wants to talk about it but if it really is such a big deal and you want to show kme you might not want to crumble it to a unreadble point but if you want to show me later its cool I guess you werent paying attention I dont notice it but the sound of that paper is ringing through my ears so if you want to talk about whats on that paper now you can but if you want to avoid the subject thats fine too its up to what you feel is comfortable

"Oh," Rayne said quietly, releasing her grip on the paper until she was only holding tight enough to keep it from falling to the floor. "Sorry. I guess I kind of forgot I was holding it still."

"Um, as for what I need to tell you later, it's not that I'm uncomfortable talking about it...I just think it would be best to wait a little while before we talk about it, that's all.." That way, I can think of how to word it, and still keep myself calm...At least Kyrie told me about it before I read it.. She thought to herself.

She managed to pull her usual smile onto her lips once more, and bowed her head slightly. "Would it be alright with you if I borrow a book to read for a little while? I noticed one last night that seemed interesting.."

Yuri: knock yourself out I find it a good way to pass the time just becareful the shelf may fall I have to many books well I guess you guys arent in the modd for a card game then { he pulls out playing cards and he starts shuffling like a pro card dealer but then he stops} but if nones interested then whatever I guess I'l check the tv { he turns the tv on and its a nice looking one 2} dont ask how I was able to afford this its a mystery better left unsolved

"Thank you," Rayne said before walking over to the bookshelf. She found the one she had been talking about rather quickly, as it was stilling in front of all the others with only a few other books.

Taking a seat as well, she crossed her right leg over her left and began flipping through the pages carefully until she found the index. Once she found what she had been looking for, she flipped to the page and began reading to herself. Suprisingly, the [Hymnos] from the book were more advanced. How Yuri was able to comprehand them all and not be a Reyvatail was completely beyond her. "Yuri, can I ask you something? Um, feel free not to answer of course, but do you understand everything in these books when you read them?"

Yuri: well it depends what you mean I an read it but sometimes they say some weird stuff that doesnt really click to me you mean like their was some weird riddle thing infact I think it was in that book apparently some famous reyveteil said those words before her death or something and I didnt get perhaps its cause I'm not a 100% reyveiteil I mean when you think about I'm half reyveiteil and a male so when you think about it I really am a freak it should be impossible but you know here I am but yeah that may be my disadvantage so sometimes I dont understand what their saying

"I see," Rayne said quietly, mostly to herself. "And again, you're not a 'freak,' Yuri. Just different, and there's nothing wrong with that."

She paused a moment, recalling the full quote, before softly clearing her throat and quoting, " 'Difference is essential to life itself. If I recall perfectly, I believe it was the [goddess] of the [Infel Phira] tower that said that."

"If you'd like, when I try teaching Chance [Hymnos], I can also try to help you learn more of the complex ones that you struggle with.." Rayne offered, wondering to herself how she was to teach a human and a half Reyvateil anything about [Hymnos].

Yuri: I dont know if I will be able to learn any complex spells I might not have the talent I'm not very good the only things I can do are really small type spells ( obviously lying) *sigh* well while you guys read I'l- { the phone rings} hello.................................... { a song magic starts to form in his hand and a fairly strong one at that and he slams the phone and when he looks up hs eyes are scary serious and he looks up with a normal face at them} sorry about that wrong number { the song magic dissipates}

Rayne had momentarely felt a surge of [Song] magic go throughout the room, but she kept quiet about it, as it soon began to dwindle down and vanish. Still, it left a low chill throughout her body at the randomness of the sudden swell of power. Perhaps it's just what Kyrie told me earlier...It's still kind of got me paranoid, I guess..

Pushing both thoughts aside, she glanced back towards Yuri and closed the book in her lap. It was evident that he was a little bored. "I can always read this later, if you don't mind, if there's something else you'd rather do, Yuri. I'm not really in the mood for reading anymore, anyway," she said, gently laying the book on top of a small table beside the chair she was sitting in.

Chance slides the blades back into his boots. He might not be able to read or sing [Hymnos], but he was able to identify the sound when Yuri picked up the phone. He walked into the study and began browsing the books, looking for one not in [Hymnos]. He replayed the music from the phone in his head several times while browsing and his hand stopped on one of the books. He looked at it, it wasn't in anything he could understand but he pulled it out anyways and began flipping through the pages until he landed on one that seemed familiar but he couldn't place it.

With a shrug he replaced the book and sat down next to Rayne. "I know you said you didn't want to read anymore, but what's the title of this one?" He asked curiously looking at the book she had gotten. He grabbed a pencil and a piece of paper to take notes, if she'd try and teach him right now.
