Dead Fantasy I and II

Post by shadow of skeith »

This has to be the greatest fan-made media ever. Even my darling Riku is in this! Thanks to Monty Oum for such hard work. High speed 3-D anime catfight action. Enjoy.

Why? It's an genius thing think of Who would win techmo or square-enix. I personally think the square girls will take the cup. The fighting is perfectly choreographed. He lets characters use special abilities that they know: magic, petal dodge, limit breaks, ninjutsu ect.. So why wouldn't you like it.

Um yea... for the shear fact that they over do everyones skills annoys me, Specialy Reana having Squalls Gun blade and using a Shield.

but yea, I dislike it because of its Bullshitness.

I'm guessing you mean Rinoa...

Anyway, hadn't seen this and seems interesting, it has very good graphics, so I will be waiting for the next one. 'Til December, huh?

If you were fighting like them you would use every skill you have.
her name is rinoa.
That is her own gun blade. Not squall's
That is not a shield. Thats her weapon.

Yep. After II, there are going to be one on one battles between the vixens. Next will be the Rikku vs. Ayane battle. Turns out she gets a new look, and weapon!

Rocker Rikku

Her Weapon. I think it's a spinoff from Devil May Cry 3, With Dante's Nevan.

I just don't like it because of its over exageratingness. Punching a Bridge like that? yea I could see TIfa doing it, but not Hinata or w.e her name is.

Of course its not Squalls Gunblade, but when the **** did she get the time to learn how to use a **** sword? I'm waiting for a Boss to show up, Hopefuly Sephiroth and Seifer Vs the girls. I also wonna know why they are fighting and how they came across one another.

Sephiroth and Seifer
Nah, that would screw it up, especially if you add someone like Sephiroth who is so overused everywhere for being such a long haired bishie >-> Girls vs Girls FTW
And the lack of background story, and lack of talking and simply them beating the heck out of each other personally makes it so better and without any cheesyness (only over-realistic actions and explosions and stuff, but that's actually awesome), and it's better to have you think on your own why they're there and all, if there's even a reason why :P

Awesome, thanks for the info.

Sure, because movies, animes and videogames have realistic battle scenes...
I could go on about this, but it wouldn't make a difference, it's just a matter of opinion.

Maybe they'll give an explanation of why they're fighting each other, we don't know, but it doesn't really matter; you just have to see it for what it is, the girls from Dead or Alive and Final Fantasy beat the crap out of each other and it has good graphics. It's not the first time someone decided to do battle scenes without a story.
But as I said, it's just a matter of opinion.

It's a video game of course it's gonna exaggerate it wouldn't be fun if they didn't, right.

Squall could have taught her. we could easily could say the same for yuna or Kairi. they shouldn't be that good with those weapons yet but they are.

It's a girls only match. If a villain did show up it would most likely be ultimecia. Monty Oum told us why they were fighting anyway. It is just a friendly sparring match. If it wasn't rikku would not have given back ayane's weapon. More evidence of this is when they are on the lava if it was serious Rinoa would not have saved them but she did.

Well, overall guys, Dead Fantasy is just a fan-made project. It has nothing to do with the elements of the characters or the background that they reside in. Monty Oum just created this for viewing pleasure, just like what he did for Haloid.(View link below if you haven't seen it.) There's no actually story, or reason why they are fighting, it's just entertainment. If Kyero Fox dislikes it, oh well. I just can't wait for III.

Well, that's reasonable, but if Mr. Oum did this the normal way, it would have lost some of it's awesome touch. Overexageration really isn't the problem here. Placing some of anime's greatest women into a brutal combat session proves to be an impressive idea. Perhaps I should contact him and ask if he could make a Tekken vs. Street fighter battle. Now that would be sweet.

lol, street fighter that would be somethin, but wouldn't it be bad ass to see Cloud face off agenst Auron or somethin as well? I hope after Dead Fantasy III he tries to make one for the male characters to be fair.

Most people would grow tired and **** about whoever won. This is better because when you played final fantasy you don't expect for the girl to be anything but the healer. She will have low everything else except magic stats.(i am in no way sexist. It is just a trend final fantasy seems to have.)
proof of this:
Warrior of light:healer is female FF1
Refia in the opening of the DS version she is looked upon as a healer.FF3
Rosa FF4
Aeris FF7
Yuna FF10
garnet and Eiko FF9

So taking them out of their comfort zone and making them fight is an excellent thing to do. we get to see how they would perform in combat. With this we get to see it. People get tired of seeing crap over and over.we already know how the male characters would perform. If you want to see cloud fight Auron go watch dissidia.

It is far more interesting to see the person who healed most of the time fight. It's amazing to see rinoa use a sword to see yuna attack the way she does. Hell I'm surprised at how he got kairi to fight. I don't even like kingdom hearts and I'm interested in her. Sepihroth, Cloud and Auron are overused to the point where some people are starting to hate the games they came from. So having a break from them would actually do their games better than whoring them out. That's probably why Monty won't make one with guys because people will complain about whoever they like not winning.

PS. sorry i went on a rant.
