I don't expect a long trailer for the movie, maybe 10 seconds like the one there was for .Hack//GU (( Real life Shino one ))

I'm expecting somewhere along oct-dec for a trailer.

Don't know why o.o;

Quality is poor... CyberConnect2, hurry up and update your site with the video !
Anyway, the movie seems to differ a lot from the game.

Order'd mine from Amazon's japanese site for around $63.00 for the bluray and about 44 dollars for the dvd and they both appear to be special editions(both state they are coming w/ the world guidebook). If you dont know japanese and you want to order from them, they have a button that changes (most of) the page into ok engrish and to find out the price in dollars, just put the amount into yahoo w/ yen dollars following the amount.

I'm pretty sure they're trustworthy if you can figure out what it says on the site, but since this is my first purchase from the japanese amazon....I do wish to ask this, tho....
1.has anyone else here ordered from amazon.co.jp?
2. if so, have you had any trouble recieving their shipments here in america?
(im having a test run to see if I can get the stuff successfully (I bought some japanese graphic novels that'll be here oct 10...hopefully)

I'm asking so if it turns out I cant get them to ship to me, I can cancel and scour the net again until my only option is playasia.

edit: Nevermind, they seem good. I just had to change my address cuz international express doesnt do PO Boxes, lol.
edit2: Just watched the video on youtube 3 times and noticed the price at the end of the trailer was around 60something for DVD and 80something for the Bluray. Should I be worried about that or maybe I should wait it out. Can someone help me confirm whether the copies on preorder at amazon.co.jp are special or normal editions. I know I as well as others not fluent in japanese here will appreciate it.

I jusy saw that too after you said it..oh and it looks like they're preordering them at a discounted price, tho I'm still not sure what to think of that, yet.

I also saw this(the original and translated by google) I dont know what to make of it. Is it talking about the limited edition or what?
予約注文・限定版/初回版・特典に関する注意

予約商品をあわせてご注文されますと、それらの商品のうち、最長の発送可能時期(発売日)にまとめて発送されますので、単品でのご注文をおすすめします。

Advance order limited edition/the note regarding the first edition benefit

When it orders the reservation commodity together, among those commodities, longest dispatch possible time (sale day) collecting, because it is dispatched, it orders with the single item the male be completed.
edit: check out cdjapan's website also. its there for preorder and everything is in full english. The price is closer to that of what Bamco is saying, but the shipping appears to less than amazon.co.jp, tho I also have two other products ordered from amazon also.( i preordered from cdjapan now too so I just need to decide who to cut loose before the first editions are gone, tho w/ cdjapan, I'm ensured a copy of the 1st edition)

Thanks! Video quality = not so good. But seriously, WOW. The CGI looks amazing.

As far as pre-ordering goes...I think I'll wait. Amazon.co.jp is a little expensive.

I mean, they broke all kinds of commitments and original plans before, such as "no returning characters" or "Each game has a new story". Hell, did you know that originally, they were planning for it to be Corbenik in Ovan's Lock, and that Atoli was originally going to have a RL connection to Shino?

Plans change. They might just balls out on us and give us three movies.
If the demand reaches up to that then maybe. We've seen that CC2 is capable of meeting fans demands. Like the Maxed Affection event was an example of this.

Personally I think this movie is gonna take a whole new direction to the game. New Plot and another way everything could have happened.

I mean the trailer for the movie sort of made me thing; AIDA Haseo? (( Where he Enters through a hole with red eyes and all growling/evily ))

There's also no sign of Endrance/Sakubo/etc.

idk...seems odd...

wouldnt it be bad@55 if they made haseo the villan for part of the movie and the other epitaph users have to defeat him and bring him over to their side?

But yeah, I totally hope they divide it up into 3 movies. I think it could be a slight possibility cuz we havent seen x-form in any form via trailer or pictures from the site or that magazine. I'd at least go for 2 volumes. That sounds at least abit more feasible to me than one and depending on how the story goes (like Marioshinobi said about new directions) it may not take so much to get this story out. regardless, I just cant wait for it to come out.

On a related note, I decided to go w/ CDJapan for my order, since its all in english. Price is abit higher, but I dont mind, since I know I've secured a first press release.

PS...so when are we gonna start speculating? I mean we kinda started but it hasnt gone too farther than movie's setup and stuff relating to its composition rather than story. It hasnt gotten to the point of before GU was released and there were a bunch of theories and things flying around. Maybe there is no need for all that since its just a movie(or possibly movies), but just curious about what others think the plot may be like.

Moumantai

PSS. Haseo looks so crazy. I luv it.

You want speculating? Well then here I go, this is what I think they changed for the movie.

1. The Arena is gone...
2. Azure Kite is along. Balmung and Orca won't be in the movie.
3. Haseo actually gets his third form from AIDA. Making him all hellish and what not.
4. We get to see Shino other then when we see her die. (If it's flashbacks or real time)
5. Endrance and Sakubo are already part of G.U. before Haseo.
6. Ovan won't appear until near the end, and Haseo kills him once.

That's how I see the movie turning out. Anyone else got suggestions?

'Moumantai' was a phrase used by Terriermon in Digimon series three...

I wonder whether or not characters such as Endrance and Sakubo have been excluded. If that is the case, it does suggest that CC2 want to create a film in it's own right rather than one that purely provides fanservice. Then again, many people would probably want to see the vast array of GU characters in high definition and acting like living people.

So far, it appears as if this favour has been reserved for Haseo, Atoli, Ovan, Azure Kite, Yata, Pi, Kuhn, Alkaid and Shino.

However, those characters alone couldn't possibly fill the entirety of the GU plot without leaving great gaps. Aina is pretty much mandatory, as she is the reason behind Ovan's entire plan for Haseo and the others. It would be difficult to introduce Alkaid without reflecting upon the arena so Endrance and Sakubo are still in with a chance of appearing. Bordeaux's gang were the recurring villains in GU and introduced us to the state of The World R:2, they aren't mandatory but could at least be included at the very beginning. Sakaki was also rather influential as he generated a lot of the plot involving Atoli as well. Iyoten and Asta could also appear if we see the flashback of Ovan saving Haseo from them.

I can't think of any other characters that would appear in TRILOGY, but I'm certain that the plot is quite drastically different. For a start, there is far more emphasis in this trailer regarding Atoli. It's as if she's replaced Ovan as the victim and the cause of conflict.

Then again, anything could be revealed in the run-up to January. We've seen less than two minutes of an 85-minute film and I'm sure that CC2 wouldn't reveal everything in one fell swoop. If anyone remembers, they were announcing characters from Rebirth after the game had been released.

85 minutes (more like 80 if that's including the credits) is a bit too short. I was expecting around 90 minutes, excluding the credits.

I think they will skip nearly all of the Arena parts - That alone would make it possible for the main story to fit. Since they will probably also remove the majority of the characters and gameplay related stuff, such as quests cut-scenes obviously not featuring in a movie, I don't think there will be any real problem fitting in everything.

Anyway, this is great news to hear just after beating the final game in the series. .hack has always been all about the story, so the movie has a good chance of being much more enjoyable with the repetitive gameplay and dragged out parts excluded. I'll be pre-ordering the SE (if there is one) of the DVD if it gets a yank release.

Holy crap. That looked amazing.

I kind of want to see a Haseo vs Azure Kite in this animation. I don't mean the Avatar fight.

Last nightfor 5 hours, I fought my way to the end of .hack.
I decided to save the last couple of battles for today.
Good morning, this is k-su.

I wonder when we will get any new info. Probably not till the end of october or november. I want the trailer nao, tho. It sucks to wait like this, especially when I cant use my own computer. (counts down till new computer arrives). I wonder if there's a better scan of that magazine page available (probably not)since it cuts off alittle on the edges.
