Vol. 3 has lots of problems.

Post by Skeith13 »

I've a read lot's of posts and most people have had techinal issues.People having slow load time or the game not even working properly. I think they rushed the game and didn't clear all the bugs out of it. My game is OK, just my party's picture take time to load and it slows down during the avatar awekenings. And also Netslum dialogue. What do you think?

My load time is 5-6 seconds, and everything is just fine but some dialouge problems when you first enter NetSlum.

Yeah, seems eveyone is having that probelm. When you enter Netslum Saku's subtitle text keeps poping up in the wronge place. Honestly it's the only major problem I noticed. well I mean there's the Party member pictures, but that's excuseaable if you ask me.

You know I noticed in Vol 2 that when you talked to your party member in town they would only use Text not sound to reply, unlike vol 1

that's been brought up many times. Namcobandai US voiced the volume 1 parts without checking to see if they were part of the japanese script. As it turns out, the japanese volume 1 does not have those voiced and apparently NB japan found out about the US version having that and wasn't very happy. Repeat.. the voiced dialog in volume 1 was US version volume 1 only and was never intended to be part of the game.

naaah reload time is not slow. i've got a strategy that made mine faster:

once u shoot all 8 rounds press O once for reload OR press O twice enabling a reload AND dash. then keep on repeating that same step.
and how u can tell that u shot 8 rounds is by hearing the shots like this:
bangbang: 1 (2 rounds)
bangbang: 2 (4 rounds)
bangbang: 3 (6 rounds)
bangbang: 4 (8rounds)

you could do that with the rest of the weapons too. just wait until any of the weapons' combo ends, then initiate guard (until u see it initiate) and then start the combo again. like how the broad sword (the one that has the 'press and hold' action) has a slow reaction time when its two combos end. with guard at the end of combos = faster reaction! ^^

P.S. if i'm the only one who figured this out... then credit goes to me please! :D

We said load time not reload time. If you look at my first post were talking about the time it takes to load from one area to another.

I CAN FULL HEARTEDLY AGREE! I finished the game, and pretty much, when it got to when Haseo and Pi were talking, and it was speed crazy with it! So when that was over, you see them walking on the Bridge of Mac Anu, fade into dark, and that was it, no more working game! I sear, I want a better copy of this, I SOOOOOOOOOOOOO want to play in the Forest of Pain!!!! :( :( :( :( :(

=.='' The only problem that I've noticed is the "dialogue error" that everyone should have noticed...I'll check out the netslum to see if theres any other problems...

The dialogue was pretty simple. No dialect or anything, like they just took it out of a dictionary. The kanji, though...it's like the writers tried to throw this Osaka spin on Haseo, Atoli sounded like she was from Fukushima...not to mention that the readings of that kanji wouldn't make any sense if you weren't a fluent moonspeaker. It's like they were trying to throw symbolism in there or something...but they have ham for hands so they couldn't really make it go anywhere.

I'd probably snap if I were supposed to make a coherent translation of that which actually went with the original text.

Haseo had an Osaka dialect? Hmm.. correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Sora have an Osaka dialect, along with the love of sound words. I'm about mid-way between a newbie to Japanese and what I'd call professional but I think I can pick up on dialects here and there.

I would have to agree though that it's hard to translate something like this into English, especially since it's made to seem like a Net Game and Japanese Net speak, BBS and even the emoticons are different from ours. Although I'm glad the Netslum AIs kept their Japanese style Emoticon faces.

Also, wasn't there suppose to be a scene where Haseo talks to Skeith, I couldn't have missed it but I saw nothing like it.

It seems these games have many glitches although the only one that was a bother to me was Volume 2's "Shadowless Dog" quest which took 4-5 tries before I could complete it. Haseo was suppose to run after the main one after you fight 3 of them and after the cut scene it was no where to be found the first time, then I'd see it and after fighting it the quest didn't end... I finally had to end up running around the whole field until it popped up in some random spot and I could fight it and complete the quest.

Another glitch for volume 3, during the end credits I saw a couple Japanese symbols, one I can recall was a Katakana "Ku" by some name.

Why is it that the lucky ones get to brag here?

Anyways, now that I'm done replying quotes, getting to my lil update for today. Tried to get mine exchanged ut didn't happen. Hopefully, I'll get mine exchanged for a better one sometime this week. But here's my advice to getting a better one, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR MEMORY CARD WITH YOU! Cuz if you have one completed and are stuck on the one I posted before, it would be best to test it at the store. if ti works, EXCHANGE YOUR CRAPPY ONE FOR THAT ONE! Something, I'm definitely doing this week!

Yap the game lags in speed form time to time and and I notice that sometimes the pictures will not load.

I didn't read the subbing at the net-sum part i was listening to to story so i didn't notice anything work with it in my game.

That was caused by using a codebreaker code to get a gift card you're not supposed to have till after the endgame and sending it to (In your case) Pi. It has nothing to do with the game itself. You caused, what is called, a Cyclic Redundancy Error. It's looking for Data that isn't there, which is causing it to check the command and follow the given command to check for the data that isn't there and so on and so forth.

Thats why you should make a couple different saves and various parts of the game. Thats what happened to be but luckily I had a save from right before I turned on the cheats so all I had to do was re defeat cubia! ;)
