I can't find anything about a PAL release either so don't know.

Gamefaqs (as well as a number of other sites) lists the JP release as 5/18/06 and the US release as 10/24/06. You'd think a PAL version would be out by now but since I can't find anything it doesn't look good. I'd imagine it wouldn't be too much longer given the time, though.

I doubt that there will be a PAL version, seeing as how it seems that they almost didn't release Reminisce, thinking the series wasn't worth it.

Wait, what? When the hell did they say that?

Anyway, we're probably never getting //G.U.. Since Bandai Namco doesn't exist over here. :3

Namco Bandai or CC2 never said that. A lot of people couldn't wait a couple of months and made stuff up. :)

I don't think that's it. If the Naruto PSP game (which is not only published by Bamco but also developed by CC2) was created exclusively for the U.S. and Europe, then the problem probably isn't a lack of resources/interest in Europe. Maybe Europeans hate .hack, or maybe it's because it would be harder to multilinguify it like I heard they did with the first 4 .hack games... Or is the PSP more popular there or something?

No, I don't think so.
I haven't seen any Bandai Namco PS2 game released over here... Then again, I don't know of many. >>

Can't see it coming out over here now, not this late in the day. The series just wouldn't be a big enough seller in Europe.

The solution to this problem would be very simple if Sony had played nice and made the PS3 region free for PS1 & PS2 games. As it stands, you either need to get your hands on a chipped console...or do what I did; import yourself a PS2 that can play the series.

I hope your got yours from VG+ to avoid customs and your NTSC PS2 doesn't click to the national anthem.

Btw fen, I have a job for you (if you wouldn't mind!) while you're playing Rebirth for the first time:

1: Watch out for any split-second freeze-ups that happen just before you enter cut-scenes, like any invisible line between gameplay and cut-scene that you can cross. This 'invisible line' will stay there until you view the cut-scene...assuming you have the same problem as me.

2: There are certain cut-scenes where I see this freeze-up occur, none of which are listed under the rewatchable cut-scenes you can view on your desktop.

These are:

:: When Haseo and Pi go to Moon Tree HQ you'll see a close-up of Pi's face, possibly Haseo too. Lemme know if you see any slight freezing.
:: When Alkaid tells Endrance she'll have their fight monitored, Haseo and Endrance talk. Tell me if you see any freezing up when the camera zooms into both characters faces whilst they're talking.

Thanks! :D

I doubt they will ever release it.

I think the reason is lack of space for translations on the disk, meaning they can't release it in Europe due to some stupid rules.

Luckily, I imported it :)
