Lost Weapon Questions

I have a few Lost Weapons questions.

1.Are the upgrading monsters REALLY HARD?
2. Do the lost weapons look diffrent after every upgrade? Or are trhey exactly the same until lvl 5?
3. Do they become the strongest weapons for the Epitaph users in your party?
4. Will it be the best sycthe?
5. Around when do you get to upgrade?

Well the Divine Awakening from Vol. 2 gets replaced by a Data Drain effect at the start of this game and you will always get Virus Cores to upgrade the weapons.

LV 1 upgrade = 10 total cores and it goes up every 10 cores ie LV 2 upgrade = 20 cores LV 3 upgrade = 30 cores and LV 4 upgrade =- 40 cores.

However the upgraded lost weapon guardians start out at LV 135 and by the games end the average Lv of the party will only be around LV 120 to 130. They also have double their Vol. 2 HP so the average lost weapon guardian will have at least 6000+ HP and boosted physical/magical defense.

So like the vol. 2 boss's they will barely take more then 10 to 20 HP in damage even with the best weapons armors customized or not, unless you use a Beast Awakening to bypass its higher defenses that is.

Can i use items to make them easierr to beat? Will Paralizing items work on them?

thats what i did in vol 2(paralyze and poisen), and i doubt they're gonna make them completely different monstersfrom reminisce.

As for a fully powered LV 5 lost scythe I still would prefer to equip the Doppleganger Scythe over the lost weapon.

The Doppelganger Scythe's lower monsters max HP by 95% during a critical hit is more usefull then the Scythes HP/SP drain effect IMHO. In fact this death type effect can actually effect the lost weapon guardians when it works even against the Vol. 2 guardians.

Though NOT every boss will this effect work on.

Yup. So far ive only seen pictures of Atoli's and Haseo's. Im going to have to wait until September to see the rest

Haseo can only carry 99 Virus Cores at once and it takes at least 595 or so total cores to upgrade every lost weapon to LV 4 to fight the upgraded guardian boss's.

Are you saying it costs 595 Virus cores to upgrade 1 lost weapon from lvl 3 to 4? Or all 7 weapons cost 595 to get to lvl 4?

Just a strange question here but do the special twin blades that you get from our azure friend work better then haseo's fully upgraded lost weapon. I ask because i noticed that the weapon carries the "death". I remember that the "death" in the first game the death would randomly but often take away a large percent of the enemies health. Does this work the same in GU volume 3, and if so is it better then the lost weapons?

do consider the Lost weapons for haseo is only the scythe, and it' by far the best scythe, the best dual blades are upgraded lvl 142 blades or kite's blades, you get them after the fight in vol 3.

Kite's blades basically have just about the same ability as DG-Z does. Get's a critical hit that knocks down the enemies health to 0 or almost dead. Very useful for trying to kill off an enemy quickly. Though I've noticed, the only enemy that doesn't work on is Doppleganger, same with other weapons. Seems only status effects equiped to weapons work for him, like poison, paralyzation, charm, curse (Not much effect). The critical effects seem to work on ALL bosses though, even script battle bosses. o.o I wonder why Doppleganger was made so different? XD

As for upgraded lost weapons if Yata only joins post final boss dead their would really be no point in upgrading his lost weapon at all.

Btw since Data Drain is usable at the start its best to upgrade all the possible lost weapons to LV 4 ASAP. Though getting 595 tota cores will take hours to do so.

Your right. We have to hole game to get virus cores, but Haseo can only hold 99. If i data drained everything (when i got a chance) for the hole game until i got to the upgrading part, i would STILL have to find more cores because Haseo can only hold 99!! UNLESS!!! I put them into into the storage place in my guild!! That way i would have 99 virus cores and the ones in storage!!

Doesn't work that way buddy. The virus Cores are Key items. They can't be used in any way other than how they're supposed to be used. In other words, you can't store them in the Guild Stoarage. Sucks, don't it? ¦D

To upgrade the weapons simply go to the lost ground where the weapons are held and insert the virus cores into the said weapons.

So you can do this as soon as the game starts Haseo doesn't really get a email mentioning how to upgrade the weapons or at least I don't think he gets such a email.
