I actually liked Inyuyasha for a while.

But, the fan girls ruined it for me and my mom was one of the fangirls...

That's definitely true. A lot of things were too predictable in InuYasha.

My mom was a fangirl also. D: She bought a whole stack of the current InuYasha manga a while back with my aunt's discount. Oh God, if she actually found some of the zip files I had of InuYasha yaoi doujin (I deleted 'em all, so yeah)...I would've been dead meat for sure. Yeah, stuff like that got on my nerves and I couldn't take it anymore.

Inuyasha is not intresting anymore so I switched to being a Code Geass fangirl lol.

It's not a bad anime but the filler episodes will get on your nerves as well as figuring out the direction of the story. It tends to go in a different direction after the 100th episode making you think that's it basically just focusing on Kagome and Inuyasha relationship however Inu-yasha keeps swooning over Kikyo. Then it gets back to hunting down Naraku who keeps eluding them and makes watching the anime hopelessI'm not even sure if the episode I saw before they restarted the series was the final episode. When they restarted it I was really frustrating.

I think what annoys me the most about the series is that there's nothing subtle about it. The characters always announce how they feel and whenever something happens, rather than leaving it up to the viewer to figure it out, one of the other characters narrates what's going on.

Inuyasha: "You really piss me off Seshomaru!"
Kagome: "Oh no! Seshomaru is Inuyasha's brother! They're going to fight!... It's already started!"
*Inuyasha swings his sword - no effect*
Kagome: "His attacks have no effect on him!"
*Inuyasha's sword changes into it's old, dull, brittle-looking form*
Inuyasha: "What? My sword changed back! It's useless now!"
Seshomaru: "Haha! You can't even wield your sword. It changes back when you even try. It's amusing to watch."

...and so on. It's just annoying. Nothing in that anime happens that one of the characters doesn't announce during or after it happens. It's the same way with the Dragonball series too. Everything is spoon-fed to the reader. Don't even get me started on the cheesy trash talking they put in. Hell, when something happens that actually requires you to remember something that happened in the story, they just retell what had happened like some sort of recap so that you don't even have to remember what's going on.

Unfortunately, that's the problem with like 96% of all anime that comes to the West.

What gets me worse than that is the fact that over one hundred episodes into it, they still tell the whole "Hello. I'M Kagome Higarashi and blah blah blah...." at the beginning of every movie and some episodes far into the series. If people don't know the story by then, they should go back and watch episode one, right? That's just what I think is most annoying.

Plus I don't think they can air one episode with out saying "Sacred Jewel Shard" at least five times.

Except for the last eppisode they aired.

If memory serves me correctly,  the jewel isn't collected as a whole in the end of the anime. So, you may want to reconsider.

At the end of the anime, the only Jewel Shards Naraku doesn't have is the one Inuyashatachi has, the two Koga has, and Kohaku's.

Its funny, mangas over 52 volumes(which would be about 350-400 episodes)and its still the same.Inuyahsa FAILS for its repetitiveness.

Not quite. Now Naraku has all of the Jewel Shards except Kohaku's, and he's pimping it out by incarnating the demonic soul in the Shikon Jewel as one of his detachments, and it just dropped Kagome on her ass faster than a brick.

OK, I think I've figured out the entire repetitive plot by pure coincedince. See, I wrote a blog on which fictional highschool would be best to go to and why, kagome's being one of them. here's what I said(from kagomes point of view, explaining to her teacher the real reason why she didn't do her homework)
my dog-demon boyfriend ate my homework after a demonic ass-hole[naraku] tried to kill us, but before a wolf demon[koga] hit on me which was after my dog-demon boyrfiend's ex-girlfriend[kikyo] showed up and tried to kill us, while we we're running away from my dog-demon boyfriend's older demon brother[sesshomaru]

Seriously, kids If you told your teacher that in real life they'd be so perplexed that they would just say"okay, get it to me tomorow". Try it.

I just summed up the entire serie's, without mentioning the plot device of the sacred jewel shards.

I normally wouldn't, but I watched/read it since it first came out, and now I have to finish it or it'll drive me nuts. It's the same obsession that made me an insanely informative .hack guru.

Also, to be fair, the dialogue is a lot better in the manga, and since you're supposed to have the actual previous manga on hand or something, they don't recap as much.

And now that we've hit the 500th chapter mark, the series is actually ending and it's not being repetitive anymore.

PLOT. IS. MOVING. [/omg]
