I played this game because it was saposed to be a prequel to the anime, and because I love mecha. I was surprised at how short it was. Took me about 8 hours to beat it.
I liked the mecha fights with the LFO's and even some of the fist fighting was fun. And I really like the options you can equip the LFO with.
Probably the only problems I had was with the onscreen text. Whenever there would be a non audio scene the text on the screen goes by too fast. And the lack of exploration kinda sucked. But I think the battles more than make up for it.
The characters were interesting. Urie reminded me of Taloh and Sumner reminded me of Renton in a way.
I think I might give the second game a try. But I'm wondering if you can use your game save from the first and transfer your character stats to the second game.
What are your thoughts on this game?

Re: Eureka Seven Vol 1: The New Wave
It was really easy and simple.
I was a bit dissapointed because I didn't know it was the prequel. The LFO liftimg was cool but it was hard to hit your enemies at times.
Vol.2:New Vision is ok, but it always seems like your watching a ep. of Eureka 7 without Renton or Eureka in it.The Gameplay in New Vision was also easy, but overall the game was ok, it wasn't awesome though but it was ok.

Yeah I would recommend this to someone who isn't into Eureka Seven. But don't expect it to be some grand epic either. Like I said its a short game. It'll at most take you 10 hours to beat.lukan wrote:would you recommend this too someone not too interested in the actual Eureka Seven?

This game is not for everyone. Even though I like it, there are probably plenty of others who will hate it.
But if you like Mecha fighting games then sure go for it.
It can be fun and it might even get you interested in the Anime too, since part of the story involves Holland and you even see Ereka at the end.
I'm going to be looking for the second game soon at Game Stop. So I'll probably post something on it after I beat it.
