The NPC Naming contest is NOT An American Exclusive

I already assumed that it was done in Japan too. But if there are people who thought this was an exclusive thing for the US version only, they must feel cheated.

On AltimitCorp, they're doing a contest where several fans are getting NPCs in Redemption named after them. Many people assumed it was American-only, but it seems not.

Yes well, that's all well and good. But a PAL release would be nice. Then I'd actually be eligible for the darn comp.

While I absolutely love that we're doing the same thing, I'm a little disappointed that no one knew they did this in Japan as well.

It wasn't a naming contest, they made those three characters at the fan festival. The contest is very different, since it isn't done democratically, and they're most likely just renaming existing characters (more than three). I'm pretty sure I mentioned this a year ago, and then again after the contest was announced. There was a news article here:

I'm finding that link a little hard to understand... So they actually created the characters that appear in the Vol. 3 Arena battles?

Yes, Matsuyama prepared a bunch of designs, attendees submitted names, and then they chose what to use (including VAs) by applause from the fans, creating the team.

That's too bad, because we'll miss out on a few characters. That wouldn't be so bad... but I think that now, with the current games as a guide, we can guess that there'll be a Bikman quest glitch. But that's really just thinking negatively.

Sorry for not responding immediatly.
I havn't looked at this thread in a while.

A while back is was a semi-big joke that if I won I'd be a Blacklist PKer named "Crow,the Grace of Life",and that it would be awsome to go agianst "The Grace of Life" as "The Terror of Death",due to the names(totally coincidental) being almost exact opposites,while still meaning the same thing(bring scared of death while loving life in both cases)

I was getting PMs about it,so I thought I'd post it there.
