Why haseo in te Forest of Pain...

He is just pissed because he got something that wasn't really useful to him, while haseo reward was more beneficial to haseo. People always want what others have despite what they get.

He was ok with the sword/gun but Haseo got power and Taihaku values power over anything else.

He wouldn't be pissed because he notes Haseo's "reward" as some sort of curse. He seemed pretty happy that he didn't complete the Forest in the way that Haseo did.

Yes, he made the area to check on his daughter's wellbeing since he couldn't see her.

Also, Taihaku isn't mad that he didn't technically 'complete' the event.

It's called the Forest of Pain, obviously a negative answer in the end would mean something bad would happen. He was safe with his answer and decided not to anger the AI and he got that sword, Haseo 'completed' the event but from the looks of it to Taihaku; it cost him.

Aye, that is true. However, while content with the sword he got, and while Haseo turned out the way he did with his reward, I think he was still disappointed about the reward he got, knowing full well there was probably something more worthwhile.

Does it look like Haseo's happy? Taihaku is happy with his choice, since Haseo seemed rather changed from when he first met him.

Major spoilers below, why Azure Kite really data-drained Haseo:

He was Data Draining him not on purpose, BY accident....!!!! Ovan was in the back of the background, near the opening doors of the church. That's why Azure Kite pushed Haseo's head down, so he (OR IT....!!!!) could Data Drain Ovan! But Haseo was in the way, so he was Data Drained instead....!!!!
