Why is it called .hack?

Everything in Za Warudo: R:1 was intentionally created by some kind of intelligence, such as Harald making Aura, or Morganna making the Phases, or whatever. The AIDA in GU are anomalies becuase NOBODY made them. They evolved into existence all by themselves.

I was considering Harald's AI to have a data anomaly though...

Anyway a simple data bug could be THAT disrupting to the system? geesh.. If the admins I know where part of the world I bet you'd never see one XD

Just a bit trivia:
In *nix systems(Unix, Linux...), files and directorys beginning with a dot are hidden.

In my opinion...I would have to think that what every one had to worry about were the "DINGS" and then the faint flash of rippling water. That's what made the comas, but only when they came in contact with a data bug, or something to that effect right? Because I doubt the comas were caused by Harolds Will. Something would enter the player mind and knock them out and put thwem n a coma.....if you wanna call that a premature AIDA then go ahead.....but I prefered to think about it as, a SIGN of things to come.

That's just my opinion.

That's pretty interesting. Do you think Altimit Mine OS might be a derivative of our current *nix systems?

I don't know, but it's certainly not based on Windows

Also, it has to be somehow different, since the plot says, Pluto's kiss affected every system except the original Altimit OS.

I wouldn't really know too much about standard operating system's.

Now what's this about them creating .Hack from using actual events that happened.........Pluto's Kiss.....and stuff like...that....I read it somewhere on the board but I can't remember.....but, I know the game isn't based off of real events.....just the events leading up to the creation of the world....

I wouldn't really know...just stating qwhat I read somewhere on the board.

I used to be, and old habits are hard to kick.

Maybe. I wouldn't really know. I mean I read the articles on the .Hack//Sign Box set DVD and everything from pluto's Kiss, to hackers, but, I was just asking a question, that I was confused about.

Hmm... well... SIGN didnt really involve hacking did it. It involved things that went beyond the system, which could be called hacking, but really wasnt, considering it was still within the bounds that Harald set. I dunno... basically everything in .hack is within the system.

Im going with Kuukai for this one. Its a command for hacking the system.
