Most annoying/hated character in anime

I'd have to say Naruto, the main female character from FLCL, and any damsel-in-distress stereotype there is.

The way I see it, every character, even the important ones, have their qualities that different people will appreciate differently. What's annoying is when a character's appeal gets ground up when a manga is adapted into an anime, or when an anime is translated into your language. Translation can be a very random beast at times.

And this is also going to be different for different people depending on their preferences. For example, two of my friends are avidly against the Naruto dub pronouncing Akatsuki "uh-COT-ski," because they think it sounds like a foreign car. Now, I actually like this pronounciation, because it feels more natural to pronounce in English. I hate the way the dub pronounces Tohsaka's name in Fate/stay night for the same reason (but they don't mind it one bit).

thats one of the big problems i have watching dubs, im used to the japanese way they pronounce names of stuff, and so when the naruto dub says kakashi with emphasis on certain syllables it just sounds wierd, oh yeah and i agree with you marth they tohsakas name is pronounced gets me too

I agree with the pronounciation. I still pronouce every name in dothack the way the Japanese versions do. I figure, thats where it came from, its more correct.

I used to call the .hack characters by their original names too. until it got annoying.

Although almost loves him, I hate Fuji Shusuke from Prince of Tennis. The "tensai" and "sicko" crap annoys me as hell. I'm so thankful I left that dumb fandom.

Oh yeah, and with pronounciation, I laugh at the people that try sounding Japanese when saying the names. Like, my cousin tries to say Naruto, and says it in this fancy way.

In Japanese, it's damn easier to say than the Fancy-Weeaboo-whatever talk. And I usually go by canon names.

Another character that I hate is Dante from full metal alchemist. She was ugly, and her body was deteriorating. She was also annoying in the way that she sent the Homuchulus after Edward, and Alphonse instead of going after them herself. She was developed well as a character, but she was just annoying to me......

Heh. THe Kitty Pie was originally my siggy, until I changed it for some Ina/Ovan goodness.

Yeah, I'm gonna agree with you about Dante. Isn't she an anime-only character, too?

Yes, she only appears in the fullmetal alchemist anime. She does not appear in the manga. She was HonenHeim's first wife.

I really, really like Dante, both young and old, and in her flashback sequence. She's got an interesting reason for doing what she does, although perhaps her introduction as a villain could have been a bit earlier on in the second season to give her story more time to develop. I do like how they introduced her originally as an ally, and it's not until Izumi confronts her that you know she's not to be trusted.
I also like Dante's character design very much (all three of them).
And last but not least, Monica Rial equals less than three.

Ash isn't that bad but i hate the dice guy from yugioh and the little guy from inuyasha the mosquito one they are both pretty much useless in the anime

Yeah, i have I hate those characters as well! it is interesting to see how the artists, and animators fo the show will throw in those little random characters for comic relief. but I guess in anime, that Is always a BAD idea! lol!

Well, yeah I mean you gotta know your place in the world. He's always destined to have a little cry when he loose's which ultimatly fuel's another useless season of an anime serie's which may or may not have as many episode's as they do pokemon.(there are 450 pokemon and how many eps are there?)

Beside's, it's loser's like him which make the villain-y type like me an easy career path. Think about it, a whiny little brat get's spoonfed practically everything an adventure could entail by everyone around him for no reason what-so-ever and he's the good guy?
