I heard the same rumor too so he/she didn't just make it up(Unless I heard it from them)

ONE TOPIC: I think that /\ Hidden Forbidden Holy Ground would make a great meeting place if .hack// was really online. SO many players would go there its not even funny. I know anytime I wanted to see someone I'd tell them to meet me there or Theta Hidden Forbidden Delusions(Molasses Storehouse of Sif Berg).

The Cathedral is pretty much iconic for .hack. A lot of important things happen there. I don't think its EVER going away.
