Yea that can be the case for some, but most are just Japanophile's and refuse to except any thing that isn't straight from Japan and most of them don't even know the language enough that they do have to buy the English version then they sit there and say how much better the JPN version is even when they don't fully understand it.

That's part of the beaty of it though, because anything could be happening, and you don't know, even though you still get caught in the heat of the moment.
Kite and Haseo could be fighting over a popsicle,or a toothpick, and you would still think it was awsome if you couldn't understand what they were saying.
Of course,I like the english voices..apart from Haseo...I would have loved to have cloud's VA in both english and japanese.
At least then we it wouldn't be so obvious that Haseo is a ripoff or Sasuke Uchiha from naruto when in first form.
If you don't understand what they are saying at all you really can't rate it though. I mean there are some terrible Japanese VA's out there too they aren't all wonderful. And some lines in Japanese are just as corny as dubs. .hack isn't too bad in that regard but some other anime's diologues have been very cliche and generic in my opinion, and some times the English dub actually made it better in my opinion. G.U. has superb Voice tracks in both languages in my opinion so it really doesn't matter as both are top notch.

There's only 3 towns in volume 2 - Lumina Cloth, Mac Anu and Dol Donna.
I was expecting Dol Donna to be bigger and impressive than Mac Anu, but it isn't -_-||| Well at least items sold there are level 50+. No scythes can be bought though :/ You gotta find them through treasure chests, or get the Lost Scythe instead. But the Lost Scythe can only be found when the story is almost ending.
EDIT: There are 1 new type of dungeon, 2 new types of fields.

One new type is the one that Haseo fought (slaughtered) Boredeux and her gang, right? The desert-like one?An0maly wrote:There's only 3 towns in volume 2 - Lumina Cloth, Mac Anu and Dol Donna.

The net slums didn't exactly look great in the old .hack series. Here's hoping for some kind of improvement this time around.
...Wait a sec, how do you know if it's going to be included? .hack//G.U. seems to have quite a different plot this time around.
It's one huge story, and from what I understood, the `Net Slums` was one of the Holy Ground that hasn't been able to be tampered with by CC Corp.
