Why would they?
All Aura needed was Kite, Orca, and Balmung, as they were the strongest players in the game

Well Id just like to see Balmung back *original* Because Balmung is like The coolest person ever I mean how many characters do you know in .hack that say something cool like " How Are You Faring?"

It would be pretty cool if Helba made an appearance, I mean if it wasn't for her(at least in part) "The World" would have been destroyed by the Cursed Wave.

I don't remember what character I talked to in the game, but someone in Rebirth actually makes a reference to Oaka's character class from LotT. The character calls it the precursor class to the beastmen.
