Ovan and his left arm (spoilers)

I finished watching roots last night on youtube. My computer is kind of old so it was a bit choppy at parts and I couldn't fast forward/rewind when I wanted to. So if you could help me on something, I'd appreciate it.

In one of the later episodes it showed what happened at the time Ovan escaped from Yata and Pi. The lock on the side of his left arm opened and it gave a brief glimpse of what was inside. Was it just a normal arm or was there more to it?

And from what I gathered, Ovan has AIDA inside in left arm right? And it is that AIDA that puts people in a coma correct?

Is Ovan like Tsukasa and unable to log out of the game? It appeared that way while he was being held by Yata and Pi.

Any help would be appreciated.

Major Vol.2 spoilers incoming.  AIDA <Tri-edge> is in his arm, its a long creepy tentacle rising from his shoulder, and can change forms like a blade or a hand.

Any PK from an AIDA or an AIDA-PC can induce a coma, regardless of what they are.

He is fine, he can log out of the game anytime.

Then why didn't he?

I think he can log out anytime actually also, just at that point it was nearing to the climax where the  AIDA wouldn't let him since it is attached to him mentally also.

but durijng the forest of pain arc, doenst he like run away and crap and then he  fights ak like 10 times and wins every time, but where was he in then  6 months, just wandering in the system or was it really his "job" that kept him away?

He was getting ready for the events of the games, such as  Corrupting Sakaki, making appointments for Ina's operation, and generally getting everything ready to happen exactly as Ovan wanted it every step of the way.
