Now we have to name every effect in the .hack games. Let's begin with the effect when the players are pulling their weapons from the itemspace.

Umm, I always considered it a "carrier signal".

No such thing,I just stated the facts that I thought supported my ideal and anything that may have opened it up for conversation.
However,if my point was good enough to make you think that I took the authority by force,then I'll walk a bit heppier today,for it means that I can express my ideals to others without great hastle.

You reason being that they carry the same type of data signal that a data drain would, just at smaller level?

If not,I'd be glade to hear the reason for that name.
Of course,I'm rether proud of "Drain Blade" so I think I personally will use it until an official word is released.

Because they provide a route for the transmission of the drained data. Really, it's more of a gameplay thing, not a new form of DD...
