It was just a to be continued kind of thing.

As for Orca and Balmung, what ever happened with their classes? Are they Edge punishers with odd stances or what? The site said they were but theie weapons and battle stances say otherwise.

They're Blade Brandiers. The official site was wrong.

That's kind of disapointing actually. I mean thats way unbalanced. So that means you get zero Edge Punisher party members except for Haseo(who doesn't really count as he's a rogue)

Anyway, I'm pretty sure you can kinda hear at least AFK saying skill names... Sounds sorta creepy. Aura says that they are "knights born to protect her", but since she's sleeping now, she'll give them to you, so you'll have more power to use to save peoples when/if the times comes.

If Aura created them, then I guess they're not the TSN system.

Red Herring, then?

Also, AIDA seem to be a result of what Aura kept saying about players deciding the future with their thoughts, and about the power of Haseo's thoughts bringing back Ovan. It seems that the AIDA were caused by players' hopes and despairs, or something, according to Shino at least...

Though this begs the question. If they're born from the emotions of the players, does this mean more can be created?

And hence what would lead fans to believe another spawn in the .hack universe. After I played this (well... I still can't beat Painful Forest D:< I'm killing all monsters without leaving >.> so far lvl 52) and that scene occured, I'm wondering whether the AIDA will return or perhaps something else. Perhaps something else summoned by difference emotions other than despair.

Well, [The World] is a computerized game, where you can't expect anything. An example being the weird as hell smile you get from AO when you propose to him, also Chim Chim's. Those suckers are examples themselves. What I mean is, is that if AIDA can be created by character emotions, who says they can't be created by CPU's in the game? ...mabye not ^_^;;, but it IS an idea.

just wondering but what do you get for clearing the forest of pain? i'm on floor 30

dunno really. I'm on floor 55 as of right now, and from what I've heard from around the boards is you get tabby as a playable character and the strongest/second strongest dual gun.

CPU's don't have emotions.

Vagrant AI's MIGHT, but there's such an insignificant population it doesn't even matter.

Yes, but in-game Kite functions as a TwinBlade and Balmung and Orca function as Blade Brandiers.

In attacks or equipment or both? Blade Brandiers lost the ability to wear heavy armor during the switch to R:2 but Azure Orca and Balmung still look like their armored R:1 selves for the most part.

Both, obviously. Despite the "???" classification, they function normally in the game system.

So the earlier rumor of AO and AB being Edge Punishers was wrong? Geez, G.U. is overloaded with Blade Brandiers. <_<

The official site said they were Brandishes, but they work like Blades. They use Blade Brandier weapons, etc..

Ack, I'm only on Phase 25, and I probably won't get back to it for like a week or so... I think I heard that you want to have Shino when you get to 50, and then you'll get Tabby... Either that or you get her anyway but having Shino gives you a bonus scene... Either way, if you're at 55 and don't have her yet, try going back with Shino?

Stupid huge forest... What happens if you miss a Phase Bonus?

lol kuukai, FoP can make you nuts,well i did it the easy way, just tun through the monsers and fought only the bosses :3

Pretty much what I'm doing, except for the fights I need in order to get the Phase Bonus. At this rate, I forget what my calculations were, but they last 4 phases will require something like an 80-hit combo, 20 skill triggers, and every object on the map broken, or something. So far the object one is really the only hard one, even taking these future projections into account... (80 hit is easy, a harder rule would be not to do a combo > 40...) I forget the other one... The Phase Bonus is great because my inventory is still lame, and they give you huge globs of healing items that are either useful, or at least have a good trade value.

I want to fully complete the game, but I have no bike skillz ;_;

Why not the other Azure knights, and what level was Keyaki when he joined the party because I heard he had his level scaled down some to make him acceptable to be placed in your party.

'cause i was training kite .___. keyaki when he joined, was lvl 125 or 126 i don't remember
