why dosen't the omega server change back to the original self after u pwn cobernik?

it has bugged me a lot lately

I have no facts to base this on...
But I theorize that Corbenik completely deleted all the data from CC corps data base, thus they would have had to completely re-make Omega server.

The "real world" side of that coin is likely one of

- CC2 didn't want to/have time to put together a whole and functioning 6th root town to use just at the end of the game
- They determined they didn't have enough disc space for another root town.

For storyline reasoning, I'd go with what Suyo said, or alternatively, it may have something to do with whatever Tokuoka and the girls did in the last episode of Liminality. It's hard to say with very much certainty.

well.. still someone of you said that they did't have space on the cd, but in the start of quarantine, you meet with lios in the real omega server, so they made that ** ** ** ** ** thing..

Well, that part of the original Omega server was only a movie, they didn't actually make a full server. They teased us, basically. T_T

I know what happened if you want to know.

THe omega server was so messed up and infected it was unusable, Kite still needed to access the areas in omega so being cool like Helba is she switched Servers replacing omega with net slum so they could use its areas.

to clarify. the server was unstable because they released it too early and corbenic had nothing to do with it. so Lios had to keep the net slum omega server to have time to stabalize the other.

omega server completely crashed...its gone. You cant stablize whats not there. Lios put up with it because he had to to find the phases. Helba and kite probably didn't much care.

How it happened is irrelavant to not being able to use the original in my opinion, from what little you see of omega server it would be a lot better than net slum

It would look nicer, with nicer music, probably having the same items and equipment from Net Slum. They should make a level like that.

Im not sure...just reconstructed it as Net Slum.
Because it's the same in .hack//SIGN.
