I'm still laughing and amazed at how badly lukan pwned this thread to pieces.

sorry to anyone else who's been annoyed by these!
i'll try to tone it down!
Well I think Haseo would win. Why? Kite can't see Avatars. Even if Kite IS aware that Haseo summoned Skeith, he wouldn't be able to dodge the attacks because they seem to be pretty quick in the eyes of the victim. Also, this is about Haseo vs Kite, not about your Alkaid fandom raids.
You know Kite might be able to see Avatar's after all. He has the bracelet which gave him and his party coma protection like apparantly avatars do so they could be connected. Azure Kite at least could definitely see them but's he's an AI and AI's can see everything normal players can't.
And I'm pretty sure Kite is a potential Epitaph User who never got one because he quit though we don't know if you actually need to have an Avatar to see one or if you just need to be a candidate.
Rick wrote:Haseo, because in the end he has Haseo has more than Kite had in IMOQ, he got the Data Drain, he got more friends, more weapons, and so on.
Number of friendships doesnt matter.
Kite had DD from the start of his journey
# of weapons doesnt matter diddly squat if they break.
Kite wears red, so he wins.
owned
Plus for anyone to pull up an avatar to battle kite already lost (because their player skill is teh sucky!).

Quoted for the truth D: I swear, I've seen that picture of Alkaid in a maid outfit at least 4 times now in different threads. You people are only making me hate her even more because of your annoying fandom.
Anyway, getting on topic. Haseo not only has Skeith, but he's overall more of a badass than Kite ever was. Kite was just...kind of nice and stuff XD But Haseo's an asshole. I dunno. I like both characters alot really. But I just like Haseo more.
kite= no personality what-so-ever
haseo= badass
WIN
.....>_>
<_<
.............blackrose had kinda bad charcter devellopment
where-as alkaid seems to be better....unconfirmed really until i get all the games in english
Kite CAN be a badass. Look at Azure Flame Kite. Azure Flame Kite has the same "good boy" personality that Kite does. Well if he can stop moaning for once you'd know.
Wander wrote:How about Kite DOES have a personality.
He's just the kind of person who doesn't have an attitude problem, has an open mind, and tries his hardest to do what he thinks is right. And he doesn't take other players in a game too serious unless it comes to real life concerning matters.
In other words, he's mature.
Haseo, on the other hand, is a spoiled little brat with the attitude of a middle-eastern terrorist. He thinks he's so great, and so much more important than everyone, that he can just say whatever. He takes everything that happens in a game WAY too seriously.
Making Haseo very IMMATURE.
Kite doesn't need to be 'edgy' to be cooler than Haseo. It's pretty obvious who the cooler headed person is here. Haseo is just a squeeker. Kite is a high level, well spoken and easily respectable veteran player.
And besides, Kite beat Skeith once. He can do it again. And if Haseo HAS to use Skeith to fight Kite, then he's a *****.

For once I entirely agree with you.
DO NOT belittle Kite becasue Haseo was more "badass". Kite is a freaking hero, no less that Haseo and his feats match up to Haseo quite well.

got skeith effect!!!:D
I mean don't get me wrong, Haseo has all his forms, and Skeith increases as he does. But the thing is, Kite always could beat him, and plus he has the datadrain without accessing his avatar, so he could take him from any form [say Xth to origional] to his beginning form and totally dismantle him. Because he protect breaks Haseo like it's nothing.
Now if Haseo got stronger weapons, and focused on more than just high-level-strength, then it'd be a different story.
Or he could just datadrain him back to level 1, regadless of his stature [once again], and walk out on him like the pimpin dothacker hero he is. XD
It didn't even cross your mind that this is the exact same amount of strength? Just seperated more in R:2?
nublette
Really? I didn't know that's how it worked. A greater division of levels in R:2; I thought they just expanded the maximum levels.
Although I'm more fond of Kite than Haseo, I've got to say that Haseo definitely has the edge.
Haseo has multiple classes, and this not only makes him flexible, but he keeps the skills he earns for those classes. He can use Gale Blade or Twin Moons for any Dual Sword or Edge Punisher weapons he has. The R:2 characters are more customizable in that one can add different effects to whatever equipment they're wearing. And of course Haseo has Skeith, but I doubt he would use him against a non-Avatar character.
Also, the Dual Gunner job extension would be an ace-in-the-hole against Kite. Kite is a Twin Blade, meaning he fights in very close ranged combat. With Dual Gunner Haseo doesn't even have to get close.
Kite was certainly a powerful player though. One would have to be could if they could dodge Corbenik's Drain Heart. However, Kite is purely a close range fighter with good magic casting ability. His skills change with whatever weapons and armor he has equipped, the strongest weapons having elemental bonuses, but Haseo can quickly customize his armor to counteract this. A good thing is that Kite isn't one to loose his cool in battle. Haseo has obviously gone crazy before, and would've demolished Kuhn had it not been for the power of Propagation, but this still does not mean he would loose. As for the Bracelet, Kite isn't so dumb as to use it against a player.
Now if we were talkin' Azure Flame Kite that'd be a different story... if he actually fought back seriously.

Not necessaaaarily. Haseo doesn't get that for himself until pop star form, and the way the question was posed I was thinking of him fighting Kite in his first form, and not using his Avatar. That's just me, though.
