I agree.. In Revolutionary Girl Utena, there's only about 4 fillers, but they're pretty good.Wander wrote:If they're going to change a manga into an anime, then it's obvious changes need to be made. If you want to see something that's exactly like the manga...tough. Go read the manga then. I don't care what excuses they come up with, fillers happen in the story, in the same world, with the characters, and like it or not, there are still developments in the story with them.
Those developments are just really irrelevant in both of these shows. That's why these fillers suck.
They are part of the story. And believe it or not, both of these shows are going to die someday. Don't sit here and feel like you have to make excuses and 'defend' it. No one's thoughts will change what they're going to do with the series.
In the manga, Nanami was only shown in one photograph
but in the anime, she's one of the sub-main characters and these fillers are there to spread light on who she truly is.
Fillers may stray from the main aprt of the story, but for fans of particular character, they can be quite entertaining.
And, they can be a nice, relaxing change from the tense, seriousness of a series..
Yah, Utena needed those fillers..lots of deep stuff... T.T
