Aura and Eina (Spoilers)

I'm hopeing that after finding an exciting unexpected way to defeat Cubia, Aura will appear and basically explain her reasons for leaving The World and explains how after leaving The World she was able to "Grow Up" and then gives her blessings to Aina who will become the Ultimate AI of R:2. Perferably they'll follow that with the epitaph wielders sacraficing their characters by destroying the avatars (or atleast the ones baed off of the 8 phases) and the lost weapons theoretically preventing any future net crisis, but then, in an act of kindness, Aina rewards the infinity eight by stabalizing their characters so their characters can exist in The World without avatars.

BTW (By the Way in txt ing lingo) I hope Aura does return, only an adult version of her. It would make sense considering Aura has aged in every appeerance (Sign, Games, and LotT.) This Enia thing sounds like a stupid plot twist.

Or maybe she'll actually look more adult-ish, but what's said in the 1st quote is the best thing to happen with her and the rest.

Like how in LoT, Shugo met Aura when she was little, but then He met her and she looked more adult, like older then when Kite met with her. So Eina can't be Aura, right?

The entire point behind the GU series is to entertain consumers like me, so that I will feel a desire to purchase products related to it, and to make the creators profit.

This is going to just start getting silly if they get rid of Aura. It'll make the entire connection to the first story...pretty pointless. I'm irritated enough at the fact they so easily destroyed everything from the last series without a better excuse.

You're only half right there. While it is true that the company's main goal is to come out with a profit, it is also true that the spirited and talented creators wish to share thier thoughts and ideas with fans and anyone who will stop, look, listen, and experience a deep and ever expanding story. Think of how Rumiko Takahashi feels about her work. Inuyasha and Ramna 1/2, all of the comics she wrote in college. If you ask her i'm sure she'll tell you it was all worth it. Not because she is a millionaire, but because like all artisans and heartfelt craftsmen and engineers, she and others like her are out there to inspire change in the way we think about the world we're living in and those will inspire us when it is our time to create our own works and follow dreams.

There are many reasons why people like dot hack. Some because of its presentation and execution while others like it for its philosophical, sociological, and phsycological distinctions between our world and the dot hack universe. Roots and G.U. provide a fresh outlook on the .hack project as a whole and i am personally excited about what will happen next in the plot and the entire series. I'm really looking forward to exploring more of 'The World' as how normal players see it and not just as epitaph weilder Haseo: The Terror of Death. Wether Aura returns or not, we cannot make any harsh judgements of where the story is going simply because we are running on speculation alone. Wait to experience volume 2 and volume 3 before you decide for yourself.

There is no need to lash out, don't take AT's comments to heart.

They killed off Lycoris, made Zefie dissapear, and now they're going to make Aura magically stop existing? What's the deal with them and AI lolis anyways? It's getting repetetive and REALLY predictable.

"For something to be born, something else has to die." Apoptosis. Besides, who said Aura and Zefie are magically dissapearing? I always figured the two of them left the World to continue evolving, and that they've reached stages of intelligence where interaction with players can no longer help them develop and/or the World is a cramped home for them.

It just really irritates me when something so good destroys old segments to replace them with new segments. It's just reinventing something good instead of making something new.

I understand your sympathies, but on the other hand, Aura is so efficient and powerful that you can't have a "Something's wrong with The World and we gotta save it" plot. She HAS to be put out of commission for anything interesting to happen because she can just wipe away anything dangerous with a flick of her wrist.

Well, this way, they have it set up so they can perpetually erase her from the series if they want to while driving fans nuts, and yet still bring her back if they want to. Her future is up in the air.

Actually, the bottom quote was the resposne to my post. ._. AT has made it clear that she doesn't give a damn who she offends, so I dropped it several pages ago. It was one comment, and there was no arguement. Read more carefully before you instill me as an example. :p

Hours of gameplay wasted. -_- What's worse, you really don't need much background knowledge on the first series for G.U., as most of the ties seem to be loose and really aren't a necessity. It crushes my heart. ; 3;

Still, though, Aura's sudden absence and Eina's appearance is suspicious. Aura is the 'god' of the internet, thereofre, she should be omnipresent within it. I don't believe it would make much sense if disappearance of one segment caused her absence. Had the fire truly destroyed her, Zefie should have also been erased, and yet she spoke with Jun on the last day of R:1. Though it's not much proof, it leads me to believe Aura is not gone.

Perhaps Eina may be a 'recycle' of Aura's information as she intergrates back into The World R:2?

1. Who said she's gone? She probably just left to either A) Continue evolving, or B) to let the human race be independant.

2. Just because she's gone doesn't mean your efforts went to waste. Let's put aside all the friendships Kite made and all the lives you saved. Just because Aura leaves years later doesn't mean your work was for nothing. You can't expect her to stay in the World forever. Eventually she'd have to leave even if it's the game shutting down. Besides, say you save someone from a burning building, and they die four years later. Do your efforts "Go to waste?" Hell no.

Um...the fire was the result of Aura's dissapearance, not the other way around. Furthermore, Zefie probably survived in the 20% of the World that wasn't damaged. Not that it mattered since she followed Aura to wherever she went after speaking to Jun. Aura and Zefie are still out there somewhere. Aura's just not running the network anymore either because she doesn't care or she's testing humanity or something.

As for Eina, many people theorize she's the product of the failed RA Plan. An incomplete Ultimate AI born to be Aura's replacement.
