It'll actually be a good buy when it comes out. It's got some wonderful music such as an instrumental version of The Whereabouts of Truth (God it sounds sad), a new Piros theme (I think that's what it sounded like), and the voice files, despite being mashed together so that you can't tell one quote from another, are exceptionally good. I've heard Shino's, Haseo's, and another younger male's voice who I can't seem to put my finger on.
A must-buy for .hack// OST fans.

Most likely they combined the OSTs because of the lack of new music. I'm not exaggerating when I say that 45% of the songs on the two CDs are just from the Lost Grounds, 15% of the tracks are area effect music like the thunder in rainy fields, 20% are quotes from //Roots and the games, and the last 20% are different versions of the main themes like The Whereabouts of Truth and Kind Hands (which I think also has a remix. I'll go listen to it again).Kouen wrote:Well only one more month til they release the OST. I still wonder why they waited for Vol 2 OST.
The instrumental version of The Whereabouts of Truth makes the CD worth the purchase though. I'm in love with it.
Wait, you've listened to them already? How?Reigai wrote:It'll actually be a good buy when it comes out. He's talking about the Rippped music off the game, however the fact is the Ripped music for VOl 2 was more secure, there were some songs missing such as
1. The Opening Theme for Vol 2.
There are a couple more musics missing as well. I mean look at volume 1, there were 10-11 ripped songs missing from the actual OST, so judging the OST by a rip from the game isn't even close to a smart thing to do right now. So just be patient and wait.
Also the voice files he talks about, they won't be included in the OST, as they are just "Rips" these are rips that came from both the first Vol, and the second Volume. The "Voice Files" won't be those at all, they'll more then likely just be battle quotes, and other quotes from the game.

Bingo. However, the voices on the rip include some quotes from //Roots (not just the flashback ones) and a few other songs I don't remember hearing in the game. I just called them voice files for a lack of a better term. Each song is a collection of quotes with Kind Hands in the background so I doubt they're directly from the sound files themselves.Kadaaju wrote:He's talking about the Rippped music off the game, however the fact is the Ripped music for VOl 2 was more secure, there were some songs missing such as
