PS3 or Wii
which one should i get a PS3 or a Wii?!
that is true. but what, in your opinion, should i get if the ps3 doesn't drop from the market, and the wii fixed thier product and continues to sell it.Kouen wrote:Well right now you're debating between two of the consoles that are in trouble right now. With PS3 probably dropping from the market and the Wii being sued.
As I see it right now, the Wii is more suited for casual/new gamers and the PS3 is for people who want to be more immersed into their games. One of the biggest reasons why the Wii gameplay is so "revolutionary" is that it entices people outside of the gaming world to join in and realize that gaming isn't the mindless thing it used to be. The PS3, however, has the technology to immerse its users more emotionally into the games and capture them into the story/gameplay. Ultimately, I see each system as having it's own audience rather than being "The best system"
Wii = New users, casual gamers, younger audiences, families, Zelda fans
PS3 = Experienced gamers, older audiences (adults), techies
XBOX 360 = Online gamers, XBOX fans, teenagers, and Halo fans
The Wii and PS3, however, are geared towards completely polar audiences. Only the more open-minded and flexible gamers would really enjoy both. The differences between these nex-gen system are much different than the previous systems. Instead of area of gameplay, their differences lie in their audiences. Ultimately all 3 are great systems. As far as quality goes though, the XBOX 360 is in my mind trailing in the race.
Personally, my vote goes to the PS3, but that's just because it appeals to me more than it does the Wii. I'll be getting the Wii also, just after I get the PS3.
