I've just seen a .hack//roots at my local comicbook shop its was in Japanese packaging but all dubed. I've bought similar things like this before but i think i'll wait for the offical dvds, but has any one else seen these?

i found stuff like this before all it is the episodes in english thats it no special features its unoffical in the us (i think) and cheap it was the entire series for $25

It's a bootleg, and the audio is only Japanese with Engrish subtitles. Stay away from it.

subtitles are ok if u need your fix but to have it in english is best.

but back on topic ive also actuly bought a few more series like this one:
hellsing
outlawstar
escaflowne
and the first season of inuyasha

(i perfer to have .hack series stuff offical though better quality)

You bought bootlegs, and if you think you're getting English audio for //Roots, you're not, since it's only on the second dubbed episode... I've been to a few anime/comic stores around the country that openly sell bootlegs, so if you think it's so good of a deal that it's too good, it is. Just a word of advice.
