The term "movie" in Japan refers to a video clip from my understanding. There is no movie in the works.

I'm glad there isn't a movie. Then they never release it in America and I never get to figure out what happens in the rest of the .hack series. I'm already missing tons of manga, and this ".hack//Cell, .hack//G.U.+" and a bunch of other things I've just recently heard about.

i dont think .hack is the type of anime that can have a movie. It just has so many different series.

A G.U. movie with enhanced C.G. graphics would be epic...

Because of the reason I said. Either the movie finishes the series and you HAVE to get it, which is the first annoyance because 1. It'll probably never release in America, and 2. It'll take a year to get it on DVD...or it's a filler.

Chances are if they do make one it will release in the US maybe a little later but it will still come out plus it could just be a side story like most anime movies are to series shows. ex. Inuyasha movies are just side stories nothing to do with the actual series.

No, movies MESS UP the series. They jumble parts around so badly that things they have before the get them show up in the movie, but that part in the movie happened before...I don't even know, my head hurts.

But take Dragonball Z for example. When they first met Cooler, Goku had just returned to Earth. He said he couldn't control transforming into a Super Saiyan. Yet, he did it perfectly when he first arrived on Earth and fought Trunks over the android thing. So, this had to have happened somewhere between the time when they met Trunks, and the androids arrived. But wait, he can't control his super Saiyan form, so this throws him between the time when he defeated Frieza, to when he had just arrived on Earth.

Really old anime, but it's a perfect example. Movies screw up the storylines so badly, I'd rather that they didn't make one.

DBZ hardly had a story. People enjoy it because of its action, and even that has grown old. Each enemy only gets stronger and stronger, and "coincindentally" the heroes get stronger and stronger...

Gundam was great. Even though there were many series, they each had pretty unique stories.

I wonder how a G.U. movie would look with similar graphics to Advent Children. Beware, if you watch an Avatar Battle with Skeith while you have 3d glasses on, you WILL end up in a coma. xD
